Setsuna's New Life: Of Villages [Episode 191242]

by Kestral

Setsuna Meiou, aka Sailor Pluto, got up out of her Comfy Chair and pondered what she was seeing.

She had determined that the Senshi had been reborn multiple times through history, and had contributed to things over the generations.

Animorph soldiers, Steel Angels, Magical Weapons and Weapons Of Magical Destruction had been around since World War I. Mage Bombs had caused magical mutations and various monsters to show up ever since then, particularly in areas where such were used such as New York City.

The anti-magic backlash in the '50s and '60s had seen some countries actually turn against those who were heroes and had been in high regard prior to that. China, on the other hand, had started their Steel Demon project in order to have superhuman soldiers.

Doctor Mizuno was the result of a project to enhance normal persons of the right bloodlines to the point where they had a chance to defeat one of the Steel Demons. As Sailor Aquarius, she had become a government sponsored superhero. That her daughter was apparently following in her footsteps was a point of pride with her.

Genma Saotome was Samurai Pisces. Nodoka Saotome was Sailor Taurus. The heroic Genma was enough to make Setsuna find the chair and settle into it.

Hunters had been around for awhile too. A combination of Interpol Special Investigator, Monster Hunter, and Elite Mercenary - the Hunter exam was a tough series of eliminations.

Now Setsuna was looking at some serious timeline contamination. There were ninja villages such as Konoha, with their secretive techniques and abilities. From one such village had come Sakura Haruno, a medic-nin trained by Tsunade as medical support. She was a bright girl with a near-encyclopediac lore of herbcraft, medicine, shiatsu, and had apparently never been at sea before. This last made more obvious by how seasick the girl had gotten, though Setsuna supposed that lots of people finding themselves at sea in a typhoon would have some problems with that.

At one point a crewmember was thrown overboard while trying to repair a mast, and was grabbed by Ranma. Ranma was grabbed by Ryoga. Ryoga was grabbed by Sakura.

Setsuna raised an eyebrow at that. Apparently some chi techniques were known by all three. Or nen. Or chakra. It apparently depended mainly on where you were from, as far as she could tell they were all talking about the same basic thing.

Ranma was apparently familiar with the ninja village that Sakura had come from, which made Sakura nervous because it was supposed to be a HIDDEN NINJA village. Ranma was, as far as she could tell, an outsider.

Setsuna settled down into her Comfy Chair™ (mail ordered from some company in Spain whose name quite escaped her at the moment) as soon as the storm was over, because she could see that things were about to get interesting. Which was obvious just as soon as Ryoga had told them all it could get worse.

Sure enough, it got worse when:
