As the flash of light cleared, a very different-looking James was revealed.
His hands had become webbed, as well as his now shoeless feet. His skin was a pale green, and his hair was dripping wet.
"You too, James?"
James wasn't sure whether he should be relieved at being able to understand Jessie again, or upset that he'd become just like her.
"Hate ta interrupt, but, uh, shouldn't we try and find out what you two can do?"
"I guess so," sighed James, although to human ears it sounded like "Kappa, kap."
