Akane smiled sweetly and walked up to the podium, using her strength and a few well placed jabs to clear the path when the stage would have been denied her. It was show time! And time for her to act instead of react!
"Akane Tendo, you have urk!"
Akane normally wouldn't hit below the belt like that, well, she wouldn't hit most people like that. However, she was on stage, and she had to nip this problem in as dramatic a fashion as possible. Ah, good, most of the male audience was wincing and crossing their legs. Kuno was writhing on the stage, curled around his agony. Hmmm. Maybe she'd applied a little too much force? Nah, look at how fast he recovered from Ranma's beatings. Hmmm. Well, she'd practiced this speech in front of the mirror an hour ago, time to give it.
"Excuse me, 'sempai', but as the subject of your speech, it would only be fair and proper to give a proper rebuttal," Akane said to the audience. "Which is, simply, this. Are you out of your freaking little mind?! I tell you now, I will not date anyone who takes up your challenge. Go challenge a Chinese Amazon in a marriage duel if you want to try your luck that way! I am not interested in seeing a bunch of wimpy little boys pretending to be men try to prove their nonexistent manhood by beating on women! Yes, I am a martial artist, and if someone wants to challenge me on a one-on-one formal martial arts duel - Fine! Encouraging that sort of behavior merely proves that you, 'sempai', are stuck in that pseudo-medieval fantasy and have no touch with reality. Any morons out there who follow your lead in this have merely proven that they are more stupid and more delusional than you are! This is the modern era! Women are not there to be smacked around by highborn idiots like you! In the modern era, women are courted, treated politely, and respected. Not used as playthings. Thank you."
Akane bowed to her audience and left with as much dignity as possible. The applause (all from girls she noted) helped.
What she was really waiting for was to see what happened after the speech. Would they still rally to Kuno's banner?
