Amelia's plan didn't quite go as she had thought. Once her teacher realized how much more powerful Amelia was, seemingly overnight, she was immediately sequestered. Right now, there were dozens of holy men discussing this event, ranging from theories that she was a reincarnated goddess to her having made the pledge of immortality with some Mazoku.
Amelia sighed and collapsed on her bed. Now how was she going to find the others?
A noise caught her attention. Something rolled under her bed. Now what?
Amelia got down and looked beneath her bed. And nearly had a heart attack!
Shaking, she pulled Nezzard, the Claw of Light, from out beneath her bed. Now she remembered, she had been using this at the end, to channel power for Lina. When whatever threw her back in time happened, she must have held onto it!
This put things in a whole new light, no pun intended! This weapon was very powerful, and frankly, couldn't be entrusted to almost anyone. If the officials of the city knew that a weapon of light was here... well, Just or not, those well-meaning dolts would probably destroy the city trying to secure it. Uncle Randy or Cousin Alfred would do anything in their power to steal the Claw...
Amelia paled as she considered the possibilities. She could just run, but...
She didn't want to run away. It would not be just, and would only make people suspicious of her. Not to mention she wasn't sure her father could handle his other daughter also running away.
Besides... now that she thought about it, she was the only one of her friends with a set address. More likely than not, the others would be heading here, to her. They'd be able to help, somehow...
Amelia sat down again, the Claw across her lap. For the time being, it was best to wait. She didn't have to like it, though...
"So I'm not corrupt only if I drown to death?! Are there any tests that a person can live through?!"
