A.N I am using the deities from the Complete Divine book, so this is why it is so long, and the deities are in alphabetical order)
Zalkai started off with nine planets that are similar to our own planets, and the one that would be Earth would have 7 moons, which would carefully regulate the cycles of the seasons and tides, and one sun, which all the planets orbit. As he shaped the lands, other deities discovered this world and helped him shape it into being, on condition he would let them have their own special relics, to which Zalkai agreed. But there was one problem, no one agreed on who created the human race. Many took that claim but others challenged those claims.
This is what each deity did:
Annam, together with Grolantor, Hiatea, Iallanis, Memnor, Skoraeus Stonebones, Stronmaus, Surtr, Thrym, and Vaprak worked together to bring the various Giants, Trolls, and Ogres to this world.
Bahamut led the Metalic Dragons to this world of Pajeir.
Bast led a remnant of a race of werecats that would live in secrecy alongside the other Lycanthropes, and all the lycanthropes were careful not to spread their infections.
Beltar added many cave systems to this world to protect those whose eyes burn from the light.
Blibdoolpoolp brought the Kuo-toa into the world.
Bralm led the Abeil (bee People) and Formian (ant People) races to this world, but they got into a millenia-long war called the war of the stings (a.n. No Pun Intended).
Boccob negotiated with Zalkai and allowed magic to infuse the world.
Callarduran Smoothhands brought the Svirfneblin (deep Gnomes) to this new world.
Celestian created the stars from which many prophecies can be told, as well as many of the constelations.
Corellon found that his daughter had good-aligned drow and allowed them to live alongside his elven children.
The Crystal Mind allowed Psionics to infuse the land, reasoning that people cannot always rely on Magic
Cyndor brought time and infinity to this land from
Delleb brought recorded history into being as a way to keep the past from becoming obscure.
Deep Sashelas negotiated with Corellon and led the aquatic elves to this world.Dimondos, god and creator of Gem Dragons, led the gem dragons to thi world of Pajeir.
Din, Farore, and Nayru got wind of this world and chose some among the hylian, gerudo, oocca, sheikah, kokiri, korok, goron, zora, rito, deku, subrosian, tokay, picori (though they called themselves Minish), ancestors of the twili, and Yeti races to populate the world.
Dirrinka led the derro to the world.
Eadro Led the Locathahs and merfolk to the oceans.
Ehlonna gave much forest and plant life but she had to make sure that there wasn't too much forest and too little of other terrains, such as mountains, tundra, plains, swamps, desert, and other things.
Erythnul brought forth sacrifice, terror, slaughter, and many other things of horror.
Fharlanghn allowed wanderlust and the spirit of adventure to fill the land.
Garl Glittergold brought the various types of gnomes to this world
Geshtai brought forth farming and agriculture so that mortals wouldn't survive mainly on animals, much to Obad-hai's great happiness.
The Great Mother (a kinder version [live and let live]) led many of her beholders to this new world in search of a new life.
Gruumsh led his orcs to this land in hope of conquest.
Heironeous brought valor and bravery to the land in order to counter what Erythnul brought into being.
Hextor would make sure that war would have the right cause and not spill needless blood.
Hruggek brought many bugbears to this new world.
Ilsensine brought a few elder brains to the new world as well as the mind flayer followers.
Incabulos brought forth natural disasters such as plague and famine, to make sure that all things are in balance and overpopulation doesn't happen, for he and Mata Nui believed that "in creation there is destruction, and in Destruction there is rebirth."
Istus created fate and destiny, while Mata nui Contributed Unity and Duty.
Iuz brought deceit and lies into being so he could advance from demigod to lesser deity.
Joramy brought anger and volcanoes into being, reasoning to Zalkai that there cannot be happiness without some discontent. He wasn't happy about it, but he agreed.
Kaelthiere led many salamanders, efreet, and azers to the new world, and set up in the volcanic lands.
Kord brought forth games and trials that would test mortal strength and endurance so that none would become fat and lazy.
Kurtulmak led his kobolds to the land hoping for a new life.
Laduguer brought the Duergar to the new world.
Laogzed brought many troglodytes to the caverns of the new world.
Lirr brought poetry and art into being so all mortals would have something to do besides just survive and fight.
Llerg taught the animals about survival in this world
Lolth led drow to the caverns of the new world and set up "shop" there, so to speak.
Malgubiyet brought many goblins and hobgoblins to this new world.
Mata Nui let Matoran, Toa, Turaga, and others to specially constructed domes where they would live free of peril.
Merrshaulk brought many Yuan-ti to the world.
Moradin led his dwarves to the mountains to develop a new life, and to trade their goods with others.
Mouqol brought trade and negotiation to the land, reasoning that mortals who had things other mortals didn't have would exchange things for what they don't have.
Nerull introduced death to all but the people of Mata Nui, who didn't like what he did to create undead.
Obad-hai brought forth many animals, and working together with Mata Nui, created the Rahi, as well as the Ents (more powerful and mobile versions of treants based on the Tolkien creations of the same name).
Olidammara brought music, song and dance, as well as trickery.
Osprem brought forth sea creatures, as well as the "call of the sea" that brought forth adventures.Panzuriel led many merrows, skrags, and krakens to the oceans.
Pelor brought light and healing to land land of darkness, as well as the Gates of Dawn where a person could literally "rebuild" themselves.
Pholtus brought forth the inevitable laws: everyone dies eventually, all bargains shall be kept, the Gods shall not be usurped by mortals, the guilty shall be punished, and time and space are precious things that should not be tampered with repeatedly. To uphold these laws, he created the inevitables, man-like machines that punish those who break these laws.
Procan created the sea-storms that would change the weather on the seas, and thus affect the land's weather as well.
Pyremius brought fire to mankind, as well as poison and murder, to Zalkai's displeasure.
Seklolah led many Sahuagin to the oceans to start a new life.
Shekinester brought many Nagas to this world, but he had to make a deal with Zalkai so he didn't disrupt any natural laws.
Sixin sent many xills, but he had to assure Zalkai that they won't destroy other lifeforms in order to reproduce.
Skerrit brought many centaurs to this world, but Zalkai held him responsible for all tauric creatures besides centaurs if they were ever created.
St. Cuthbert brought law and order to a land of chaos as well as set upthe first law code.
Rao brought peace, and serenity to the world to balance out the war that was brought earlier.
Telchur brougth winter and cold that would separate the weak from the strong and check unbridled passions and overabundant life.
Tharizdun wanted to end this reality, but the rest of the gods and goddesses imprisoned him far from the reality he hoped to destroy, but not before he brought forth insanity and entropy and his children the Daelker.
Tiamat led the cromatic dragons, as well as her dragonspawn to the world and started the age-long war with the metallic dragons called the Dragonblood War. <\p>
Toltir brought mayhem and mischeif into the world.
Tritheron brought forth individuality and liberty that others could strive for.
Vecna introduced secrecy, subterfuge and intrigue to keep what should not be known, uh..., unknown.
Vulkoon, the Scorpion God, started competing with Lolth for drow followers.
Wastri brought forth a strange set of things, bigotry and amphibians, which earned him very confused looks from the other deities.
Wee Jas brought beauty, and with it vanity, to this world.
Xan Yae brought forth neutrality between ideals, shadows between light and darkness, comfort between heat and cold, and stealth between the seen and the unseen, so that all things could be in balance.
Yahvo brought forth the D'ni, who could write links to places in the great wheel, and he told Zalkai that these kept adventure alive.
Yondalla led many halflings in search of a new life to this land of plenty.
When all was finished, Zalkai and the other deities (except Tharizdun) worked together and forged the Mask of Life (copyright belongs to Lego Bionicle) and each deity placed a sliver of their own power into it (Zalkai the biggest sliver), and placed it in a Sacred City called Pajeir, as well as the Wellspring, a kind of gate where souls that would be born and those that have died would have to pass through before they could travel to their final reward, in the heart of the Amacata desert (hottest, driest, and with the most sandstorms) but Zalkai foretold that the wellspring would end up becoming destroyed, letting the power of incarnum into the world, but it would not happen in the near future. Although all the dieties didn't approve of it, Zalkai allowed Pact, Shadow, and Truename magic to Seep into the world. And then they rested from all their labors
But the First war would begin soon...
