"Kasumi is doing quite well, actually. Tofu finally returned and the two of them have been getting along fabulously."
Ranma nodded. "That's good to hear....even if you are lying."
"What?"
"Tofu died years ago, when his superiors at Weapon X deemed him a security risk. Don't think I'm a fool just because I prefer to be a mercenary instead of a major player. My information network could rival your own. Well...now that you don't work with Hydra anymore."
"That was the old Viper, actually. I only replaced her after she left them, well before the Great Blackout."
"Ah, nice to know you had nothing to do with that. It caused me quite a bit of trouble. Back to your lies. According to my information, Kasumi has been missing for two months. Care to explain?"
"....fine. They're called the Reavers. An international group of thieves who specialize in using stolen technology. Rumer has it they even have some Iron Man blueprints Tony Stark left before he disappeared. Ones that his greedy little sister DIDN'T get a chance to turn over in her many military contracts. They have Kasumi, and they want all my information on creating cyborgs."
"Not that you'll pay."
"Of course not. You think they'd turn her over even if I did? I know their kind. I AM their kind. So I went to the Hand. But they asked for quite the price. A powerful warrior they could resurrect as one of their own."
"So that's were I fit into all of this. Good to know. We'll have to do this again sometime, but duty calls." With that Ranma finished his food and drink before heading for his weapons.
"Were are you going?"
"Why, I just learned of these guys who have all sorts of wonderful toys. I know people who would pay an arm and a leg for Starks remaining secrets." He was just about to grab the shield when he felt a hand on his shoulder, turning him around.
"Ranma, before you go, thank you." Nabiki slowly lifted his mask to reveal a face that, like her own, still looked in its early twenties instead of approaching forty, though in his case it was from ki control while she had plastic surgery that bordered on genetic engineering. Slowly her lips met his. The moment stretched on for a time before she was suddenly face down, her arm twisted behind her back and squeezed until she let go of the knife that was aimed at his back.
"You were right, Nabs. We would have been quite the couple." By the time she got back up he was already gone. The sword and shield with him.

Ranma jumped from roof to roof wondering how he'd find these Reavers when he picked up on her. 'Dammit, not again! How does she find me EVERY time I visit Tokyo??' He paused and turned to were he knew he was being watched from.
