Silent Fiancee: Role Aid [Episode 193837]

by Kestral

Akane was heading to a plane that would take her to Thailand and a martial arts tournament where she was sure she would do well and show everyone that she was a martial artist in her own right.

Tatewaki Kuno was digging his own grave, metaphorically speaking. Having been sent to a 'sensitivity training' class, he was not handling the experience well. Though he WAS giving reams of data to the psych majors following his case now.

Kodachi Kuno was happy and content. She was also very heavily medicated.

Ryoga found himself at the home of Akari Unryuu and was trying to stay there.

Ukyo and Konatsu were working a beach-side stall, trying to make ends meet after a water leak at the Ucchan's had pretty much wrecked the place. They were having more difficulties, in that a maid cafe had opened nearby with "real girls". As it was a martial arts maid cafe, the off-hour competition could get a bit violent.

Nabiki found naked pictures of herself on the Internet and traced it to Hikaru Gosunkugi. She demanded a cut of all profits.

Kasumi found out where Doctor Tofu had moved, and came by with a plate of cookies.

Genma and Soun were off on their latest plan to get the houses united. This time, despite that the methods had never worked for Shampoo and the Amazons were now occupied elsewhere, they were borrowing a plan from Shampoo. They were sure that something from this cursed antique store would do the job.

As for Ranma, he had an idea. They were still getting ready to go, Haruka needing to stretch out some lingering soreness from her sparring match.

"Okay, Hotaru, I need you to do that transformation thingie," said Ranma.

Hotaru blinked. "Here?"

"Yeah," said Ranma.

Hotaru didn't call out a phrase. She didn't even use a transformation pen. She hugged herself, with her street clothes fading out and her Senshi uniform fading in, then put one hand out into which the Glaive appeared.

"Her weapon," said Setsuna as Ranma looked it over, "it's called the Silence Glaive."

"That ain't a glaive," said Ranma, scratching his head. "Least not a Japanese or European design."

"That's just part of it," said Hotaru, who hadn't questioned how the Silence Glaive was constructed.

"Well, this looks like the kinda thing in some European polearms - they used to use 'em to push away scaling ladders and stuff," said Ranma. It WAS a martial arts weapon after all.

Saturn was looking at her own glaive now and wondering if she was supposed to be defending a castle, and from what.

"So, if you're supposed to be defending a castle..." mused Ranma. "That means against troops and stuff. What kinda attacks do you have?"

"Attacks?" asked Sailor Saturn, feeling a little more confident about this boy who was accepting all this so matter-of-factly.

"Yeah," said Ranma, going into sensei-mode. "Remember your opponent's attacks and abilities. Your 'Haruka-poppa' used two attacks while sparring with me. Both were ranged attacks. One used a sword and the other didn't."

"'World Shaking' and 'Space Sword Blaster'," supplied Michiru from where she watching.

"Right," said Ranma. "Neither used chi, and the 'World Shaking' was a wide attack. The 'Blaster' was the same kinda thing, but looked like it was a lot more focussed. Probably got better range too."

Michiru nodded. She was interested in hearing this now.

"The 'Shaking' had the sort of kick of a strong 'Shishi Hokodan'," said Ranma, "but not as hard as some of the other stuff I got hit with over the years. She'd of had a hard time dealin' with Saffron."

"Saffron?" asked Michiru.

"Saffron the Phoenix of Phoenix Mountain in China," supplied Setsuna as she got some drinks out of a cooler. "Self-styled god. Ranma used two Class Two Artifacts to fight and kill him. However the Phoenix was reborn immediately as is his wont."

"Ah, a Dark General then?" asked Michiru, accepting a bottled water from Setsuna.

"More like one of their bosses," said Setsuna. "I don't have all the details, but Kiima was apparently more akin one of the Dark Generals."

"Boss and sub-boss, eh?" asked Ranma. "Guess that kinda fits." He turned his attention back to Hotaru.
