Rei did her fire readings.
Michiru consulted her mirror.
Setsuna became Sailor Pluto and went to the Gates Of Time.
Crystal Tokyo was in ruins.
Sailor Pluto stared and watched as image after image of Crystal Tokyo appeared. In some, there were furries.
Seeing herself as a furry in one of them was quite alarming in and of itself. After some time, she stood down and pondered her findings.
The furries themselves were not a menace. Well, not all of them. The mouse had been shown in at least one potential future serving as Queen Neo-Serenity's butler. For a humanoid mouse he looked quite dashing in a tuxedo. There were other non-menacing furries.
Their Master, on the other hand, was a menace to Crystal Tokyo. If unchecked, this new menace from outside their dimension could make further changes.
The problem was that the menace in question at this point had no set plans - hence all the destroyed but very very different futures. Including the one where she'd been a mindless bird-girl singing in a cage. Some very very bad potential futures. Others where things seemed perfectly normal except for one or two minor changes.
So at least some of the minions were ready to jump ship if given the chance. This powerful mage was ready to make his move, if he could decide what it was.
After careful consideration, Sailor Pluto decided:
