Sakura still found a reason to complain though. "When are we going to finally get there!"
"Perhaps when you stop fussing?" Temari suggested, raising a brow at the other kunoichi.
"I am not 'fussing'."
"Then what do you call the fact that you're complaining now? I would have thought that someone from your village would at least be tougher than that."
"Shows how much you know," grumbled the pink haired girl... who glared at the blonde's answering smirk. "It isn't the trip that's bothering me."
"It's not?"
"She seemed to be plenty bothered by that thing in the lake," Ranma idly commented.
"It was a monster! I simply got us away from it in the easiest way possible!" Sakura barked, her shoulders rigid with anger.
"Yeah, by paddlin' the boat across the lake like ya were a motorboat."
"Grr.... That was then, and it was a simple instinct thing. But I'm not bothered by that sort of thing... such as it is."
Temari glanced over at her. "Then what is your problem?"
"Having to keep dragging your brother onto the right direction," the pink haired kunoichi answered, yanking on the collar of the boy in question without looking at him. "Just how he can miss which way he's supposed to go is pretty annoying."
"You didn't have to grow up with that."
"I suppose you have a point there. Though... just where do you think that you're going, buddy?"
"We're supposed to be heading to the place where the navigators live, right?" Ryoga asked, giving the girl holding him back a confused look.
"Yeah, so?"
"Well, it's right there," the normally lost boy told Sakura without a lick of mockery.
All three of the others looked in the direction that he pointed, and saw that, yes, there was a cabin standing just below the large tree that had been pointed out to them earlier.
"The guy who couldn't find his house without a map when he's down the block just found the place where we're supposed ta go. There's somethin' real off 'bout that," Ranma muttered to himself, shaking his head.
"You're right about that," Temari remarked, and took a few steps towards the house. "But now that we've found the place, shouldn't we go in already?"
"Sounds pretty good."
"Maybe knocking would be good. Manners, you know," Sakura pointed out.
For a moment, it looked like the pigtailed boy was going to agree with her, but then he stopped and scowled. "Don't think that's such a hot idea."
"And why's that? You want to be rude?"
"No, safe. Door's slightly open. Locks busted too."
"Which means...."
"We're going to haveta be ready for that."
Sighing, Temari fingered her fan. "They probably already know that we're here."
"Might as well go and say 'hi' then."
"It'd only be the right thing to do," Sakura agreed in almost jolly tones, pulling out a pair of kunai.
"Too bad I can't knock how I'd like," Ryoga mock lamented. "Serve the jerks right, but I'd like to not break the house."
"Then let's see if we can't see if you can't do it directly to them."
Ranma smirked at that, and pushed the door open to a darkened room that looked like it should have been the right set up for a surprise. But it was more of a shock that awaited them as a creature taller than any human was sent tumbling to the ground, and what looked like a crying human girl moved protectively towards it. Nearby, a man stood, blood staining his cheek from a cut on one cheek as he tried to stand on an obviously injured leg.
"Okay, so we know that the giant monster beast isn't the enemy here," the blonde wryly commented as she spared a glance towards the hurt group.
But all four of the new arrivals quickly turned their attentions toward the attacker, who just happened to be:
