Naruto put her hands on her hips and began the story: "We were gone for two and half years training; however, right before we were on our way back, we were approached by this shady-looking guy.
"He told us, 'You two are ninja, right? I know of a legendary training ground that you two just have to try out.'
"Jiraiya, being the idiot he his, said, 'Another training ground? I suppose we could give it a shot. How about giving us some directions?'
"So there we were, on our way to some kind of 'legendary' training ground told to us from a shady guy. Honestly, I thought this guy had some kind of grudge or ulterior motive for sending us so far out in the middle of nowhere."
Jiraiya broke in nodding, "I thought so, too. It just seemed too incredible to be true. He told me that ninja that go there can develop two times faster than normal! I thought it was just the place for Naruto."
A vein popped in Naruto's forehead and she glared up at him. "Don't lie, Ero-sennin. I heard what he said to you! He told you that the place had a bunch of young, 'well-endowed' priestesses there."
Holding up a finger, Jiraiya noted, "Which, by the way, turned out to be completely false."
Sakura gripped a fist and struggled to contain herself.
Naruto continued, "We got to the place and it looked like it had been abandoned for centuries. The buildings that were there were ruined and caved-in. There were a bunch of these strange ponds or springs everywhere. Honestly, when we got there, I was sure that the guy had led us straight into an ambush, but no one showed up."
Crossing her arms, she continually seemed to grow more annoyed with the flashback story. "Ero-sennin and I decided to try the place out, so we started sparring. He knocked me into a spring almost right away. I didn't hesitate, however, I jumped right out and counter-attacked. He seemed to have been suddenly distracted by something, so I managed to kick him into another spring--but a panda came out and charged right at me. I was so surprised that I ran, but it kept chasing me! I slipped and fell into a hot spring and the bear followed me in. I thought I was dead for sure, but the Ero-sennin was in the hot spring with me.
"'You were a girl!' He yelled at me.
"'There was a panda!" I yelled at him.
"It didn't take us long to figure out what had happened. The water in the springs had cursed us and we figured that each spring might have a different curse. Now we knew why the grounds were both legendary and left in ruin."
Sakura asked, "But the hot spring turned you back? Was the hot spring the cure?"
Jiraiya shook his head. "Naruto is still a girl now, see? And I was just a panda a second ago. No, hot water merely expels the effects of the curse temporarily until you come into contact with cold water."
Looking at Naruto, Sakura asked, "Then why don't you just turn back like Jiraiya-sama?"
Naruto sighed, "I was getting to that..."
