[Episode 194618] [Episode 194618]Hikaru grimiced at the casual speech of the announcers. "Vultures! If there weren't rules against attacking normal humans in this fight..."
"Too late to worry about that. I know that not everyone here was a magician..." Sakura said, thinking back to her own aforementioned slaying of Mei-Ling. She'd been acting on instinct to protect the actual magical Girl Mei-Ling had been trying to kill. It was a bad move in her mind, though perhaps right for the wrong reasons. No one knew what would happen if an ordinary human managed to kill a magic user, so it was better that it hadn't had a chance to happen.
"If you want to, I promise not to stab you in the back," Sakura continued. She smiled - although it was a poor echo of the girl she used to be - and let the blue battle aura of The Fight she'd been relying on fade away to show her sincerity.
Hikaru took a cautious step back, then made a mad leap towards the announcer's box.
"Uh oh, did we go too far?" Dave mumbled. "It looks like the Magic Knight has broken off from the battle to take us down!"
"We really should have expected that. But meanwhile, Sakura might have an opportunity to cheat!"
Indeed, the Master of the Clow, with none of her usual flourish, had splayed two cards in her hand. 'I'm sorry,' she thought, 'If I'd made the time to use these earlier...'
"She wouldn't! As a knight, I know something of honor!" Hikaru said, her sword at Dave's throat.
"Are those cards what I think they are?" Jerry said, peeking around his desk with a set of binoculars, "Again, just to be expected. With all the magic energy she's absorbed, she might be able to break the limiters placed to force this gathering to happen!"
Sakura reverted her sword back into her Star wand and began chanting. "Transport me back to when I can prevent this battle! Time! Return!"
As everything faded to white, Hikaru Shidou smiled. "Finally, the solution we were all looking for. So you were the one with this type of power?" She chuckled, some of her old self shining through, "Good luck, magician, I believe you can save us all..."
