He seems like a person who really needs help getting back on the right path to life. After all, a Martial Artist has a duty to help others in need, ne?"
"Saotome... your selflessness continues to amaze us!" Manly tears were coming out of the eyes of the two buffed men who stood outside the white truck.
"Also, when you get to the Temple, please tell her to wait just a bit longer..."
The assembled guests at the party simply stared as Tamiya and Otaki (who was now wearing a Prince Endymion costume that his girlfriend surprised him with) who had finished reciting their story about what had happened earlier. "Well, I suppose Ranma is the type of guy who would do that," muttered Chihiro. Nabiki, on the other hand, didn't share that same sentiment.
A number of other NIT students who were invited to the gathering mumbled in agreement and they didn't notice the three Norn sisters slip away to have a private conversation in the kitchen. Urd double checked to make sure that the coast was clear before speaking with her sisters. "So what's wrong with their story?"
"Other than the fact that it sounds like a complete rip-off of Chapter 128 of Selfless Martial Artist Shiki?" asked Nabiki as she joined them. She smiled as she noticed Urd's slightly astonished look. "I do happen to read manga on a frequent basis."
"Also, those two... they reek of memory alteration magic. Demons have no use for such things so the only conclusion is that Ranma-kun got involved with an incident with a Goddess," deduced Skuld.
"You picked that up also? Not bad," said Urd with a smirk.
"So how should we handle this, nee-san?"
"You should just worry about keeping the guests occupied, Belldandy. I'll go check into the Heavens and see if any news about Ranma came in recently. Nabiki, it'll probably be best if you kept this speculation to yourself for now. No need to get the others worried." Urd then winked at the youngest of the Norns. "Don't worry, kiddo... we'll get your hubby back to you in no time!"
"I'm not a kid anymore! But thanks."

The sun was just starting to set and Skuld found herself enjoying the early evening breeze outside the temple. The only thing that would make this better is if he was at her side enjoying the breeze with her. "Skuld-sama?"
She glanced to her right where a small girl dressed in a blue Victorian-style dress with black hair tied in a single ponytail approached her. "Sigel? What is it?"
"I am here to inform you that there is a pressing matter that requires your immediate presence. Please follow me."
Skuld felt her mood dampen even further. "Can't it wait?"
"Unfortunately no, Skuld-sama. This matter will only take a moment of your time."
She sighed once before giving a weary smile at her creation. "Lead away then."

The Norn of the Future wondered just what was so important that Sigel would practically drag her away from waiting for her husband. What if he showed up right at the temple's front door and she wasn't even there to greet him?! Just what was going on in the Western Garden?
Then her heart skipped a beat as she saw a familiar silhouette against the bright light of the setting sun. It had its back to her and had its attention focused on the petals that were falling from the cherry blossom tree in front of him. 'Could it be... ?' Her body went into autopilot as she approached the figure who was dressed in a pair of black dress pants and shoes and a red dress shirt.
What caught her eye was the back of the person's head which had a pigtail that she knew like the back modules of Banpei's limbs. "...... Ranma?"
The male turned around and gave her a smile that he would only give to her. "Skuld......"
Before he knew it, his wife had flown into his arms with tears of joy streaming down her face. Being in his arms like that and being able to feel that aura of strength that he carried with him... she felt like she never wanted to get separated from something like that again.
"I'm home," whispered Saotome Ranma softly into her ear.
"Welcome back." She leaned back before capturing his lips with her own amongst the falling cherry blossom petals.

Urd poured another helping of sake in her saucer. "I have to admit... that's a pretty good job you did with them." She raised it up briefly.
"What did you expect? I am a First Class Goddess after all," said Peorth with a smile before tapping Urd's saucer with her own.
