In orbit around the Earth
A bright blue whirlpool opens in space. Out of this whirlpool comes a starship. The whirlpool closes.
"Report Mr. Data." says the Captain. "Is this our home universe? Has Mr. Mallory's timer led us home?"
"Scanning Captain." said Data. "Scans report that this is not our native universe. The database list it as a Potterverse."
"A Potterverse Mr. Data?" asked the Captain.
"A Potterverse is a universe where the fictional characters of the 'Harry Potter' series of novels are real. This would mean we are in a universe where the existence of magic is real. The scanners are registering large groupings of beings who would be called 'witches' and 'wizards'."
"Not another magic universe." groaned the Captain. "We barely got out of that one with Lina Inverse. And don't even mention the difficulty we had in the universe with that Dark Schneider."
Data winced. The run-in with DS had not been pleasant. He was happy not to mention that universe ever again, to anyone.
Riker winced. If he never heard the name 'Dark Schneider' again he would be happy. '"Difficulty" is a severe understatement Captain.' he thought.
Worf winced. His encounter with DS was seared into his mind. His chest still ached where DS attempted to rip his heart out.
"Send some cloaked probes to observe and see if we can tell when is this series' timeline we are. I remember these books well. It would be good to know if Voldemort has been revived yet or not too."
"Aye Captain." said Data. His fingers flew over the console then stopped, and he said "Probes are launched and cloaked. We should be receiving intel from them in a few minutes."
"How much time do we have in this universe Mr. Data?" asked Picard.
"We have 3 days 53 minutes and 19 seconds until the timer is ready." said Data.
