At the moment though, it didn't seem that she needed to worry about such things. Sure, this wasn't exactly her family's dojo, but it wasn't likely that someone was going to simply be blindly attacking here. They were in the same boat, and since there was nowhere to run to, it was best to at least know who she was dealing with.
Not that she particularly knew this girl.
Oh, she could tell that there was the taut muscles of someone who did regular exercise in that comely body. Then there was the fact that the girl was certainly attractive, as had been many of those that she'd met. Another 'plus' was the fact that she hadn't gone on the defensive immediately, as that would be the knee jerk reaction of choice right then.
However, she hadn't met the girl before, and therefore didn't know her, but that wasn't particularly surprising. The truth was that Ranma might know exactly who this girl was, and it would be perfectly natural that she'd be in the dark about it. She hadn't known him for the first sixteen years of his life, and he could certainly have met a lot of people in that time.
Something told her that the jock hadn't met the girl before though. What that was she didn't know, but as she watched the other girl move, she had to admit that a part of her was pleased that she had advantage over her. It wasn't that she wanted to manipulate her fellow 'survivor', but that she was feeling oddly proprietary towards the big lug. Perhaps it was a need to keep something of her 'old life' as hers, but she found that, if Akane really abandoned him, and had her big sister not found pleasure in being his bed mate continuously, she might just have claimed him as her own.
Then again, it might have just been her grasping at straws, as she knew that she had little control of the situation at the moment.
What she could do was try and see what she could learn about this new girl. There might not be any real threat from their 'roommate', but the fact was that they didn't know anything solid about it. At the very least, it might have been good to have some sort of knowledge of each other. It would make things things rather awkward if they had to spend time together and stayed distant from each other.
So, she wondered about how she could get to find out things about the girl without seeming too forward, as she only knew her name, which happened to be:
