Rankoth, the baby queen dragon, purred in happiness as she sent a request through the link. I'm hungry. What's your name, mate.
The other girls blinked in suprise. The admittedly cute, definitely draconicly shaped creature had just spoken telepathically. The creature was intelligent!
Akane ignored everyone else. "Of course, Rankoth!" She bubbled, the pure emotion that was flowing through the link coloring her own. "Kasum1! I need meat! Lots of raw meat!" She turned her chocolate brown eyes to look into the swirling, crystaline orbs, watching as the color that was present swirled into the royal purple range. "My name is Akane, sweetheart."
A-ka-ne, the little dragon purred. I like your name, Akane. Her eyecolor shifted to an impaitent gold-orange. I'm really hungry, Akane!
Kasumi poked her head out of the doorway. "It's coming, Rankoth!" She continued out the door, a platter of raw fish and beef piled almost to the point of spillage. The little gold-scaled lizard gave out a coo from it's muzzle, turning it's head to stare at the hausfrau.
Who is this nice lady, Akane? the immature dragon asked.
Kasumi replied for herself. "I'm Akane's big sister, Kasumi." She smiled with a joy that seldom was seen. "How did you get from your hatching ground?"
The gold's eyes swirled with both an angry red and a confused green. I... don't... The little dragon pulled away from everyone.
Akane shuddered at the images that flashed in her mind. Silver threads, filling the sky like rain.
A gigantic, rotund man; looking down from a great height.
The skies, filled with adult dragons swooping, looping and diving in some intricate ballet.
A square of light and the sounds of.... cats.
Realization struck the pair at the same moment. This beautiful, touching scene would only last for so long as the baby Rankoth remained.
Akane crawled back toward the dragonette. "I...I...I'm s...sorry," she whimpered in shock. "P...please forgive me."
I forgive you, the transformed and equally chargrinned Ranma replied. I... the onnatetsuko-fied Ranma/Rankoth began,
Mass facefaults.
Sweatdrops.
Akane growls. "What's so bad about that?"
Mass suprise.
"Why, so can I," Kasumi adds. "Her name is...Wyndlas?"
And it does...
