Against the Master PC: Arriving at the Station [Episode 195169]

by thatguyfromtheparty

The train slowly came to a stop.

“We are now in the Imperial capital, home of the Emperor himself, currently celebrating his four-month-anniversary of his rule over us. Be sure to buy T-shirts and thank you for choosing Speedy Express.”

Among the crowd of people rushing to get off the train was one Uzumaki Naruto, hyperactive ninja, container of the Nine-Tailed Fox, self-proclaimed future hokage, and now, resistance fighter.

It had been four months since the Emperor had declared himself a god. The entire village of Konohakagure was among the many warriors who had banded together to fight him…and then promptly became happy, submissive slaves of the Emperor, manipulated by his insidious Master PC program. (The general term for those that the Master PC had altered was ‘Blanks,’ due to the glassy-eyed gaze of those poor souls.) Naruto was spared only because he was not among them for the attack, having been recovering from serious injuries at the hospital.

Most of the other resistance fighters had lost a wife or husband, maybe an aunt. But not him! He lost a whole freaking village!

A village he intended to liberate.

And, hypothetically, a village that would be so grateful to be rescued that they’d immediately make him Hokage!

“Believe it!”

Naruto suddenly became aware that everyone was staring at him. Apparently, he had said that last bit of his internal monologue aloud without realizing it.

“Um…yeah,” Naruto said awkwardly, trying to save face, “believe in Speedy Express…yeah.”

He strolled away from the perplexed crowd, planning on his next move.
