"Thank you, good Conservator," the man who had just emerged from the Great Crystal of Power stated as he reached up to gently brush off the well-tailored, black-trimmed, dark burgundy jumpsuit draping his more muscular form. "It's so good to be back!" Glancing over at the Doctor, the transformed Moroboshi Ataru smiled as he gave the older man a courteous bow. "My dear Doctor, this was truly a gift from the Fates! My eternal thanks for your kindness!"
The Doctor nodded as he approached the just-transformed Terran. "The adjustment seems to have not bothered you too much."
"Not really. It has been a revelation to me," Rake admitted, a pained look briefly flashing across his face. "To believe that I demonstrated such a lack of finesse when it came to wooing all the beautiful damsels who crossed my path over the years! I behaved like some uncouth caveman with them!" A shudder raced through him, and then he raised his hand as if taking an oath. "Well, no more! No more, I say! I shall turn over a new leaf as of today! Never again will the ladies view me as such a barbarous monster! I shall be the soul of discretion with them from this day forth!"
The Doctor gazed at him for a moment, and then he glanced at the Conservator. The other man shrugged. "This is one of the more radical giftings from the Crystal, Destructo," he explained. "Grant your charge a little time and . . . "
