"Infinity?!" Rake gasped.
"That's right," said the tomboyish girl, draped now in the classic grey bodysuit with the white sideways-8 insignia of Infinity, as she walked clear of the Crystal of Power before she gazed fondly on her template. "Nii-chan!"
Staring at her, the Doctor and the Conservator could only nod in understanding. While the traditional "nuclear family" had, like almost every other "norm" social standing, faded into nothingness since the Dawn of Power ages ago, the bond between siblings was always maintained, even should one sibling become a face and another a heel. And despite how this ultimately came into being, Rake and Infinity were clearly siblings who cared and loved each other. Born of the same person, raised with the very same experiences right to this very day -- the bond between these two was as solid as the most pure form of neutronium.
Rake smiled as he dropped to one knee, reaching over to grasp Infinity's hand and place a loving kiss on her fingers. "Nee-chan," he whispered to her.
She giggled in embarrassment, her cheeks reddening at his actions. "Nii-chan, stop that!" she scolded him, though she did not yank her hand away.
The Conservator gazed on the Doctor. "Did you expect this, Destructo?"
"Yes, I personally expected it would have happened," the latter affirmed. "With all the various forms of magical, spiritual, martial, mana and other forms of life energy -- regardless if it was 'bad' or 'good' -- that has plagued Moroboshi Ataru's life to date, there would be certainly be more than enough to allow two versions of him to emerge from the Crystal when this day came. Lum's sweet and Hayao's cake merely guaranteed it." His eyebrow then arched. "Besides, you know of the matter that prompted my emergence from the Crystal."
The Conservator nodded. "Yes, that is true."
By then, Rake had stood himself up, though he still grasped Infinity's hand. "Good Conservator, fair Doctor, we must sadly take our leave of you at this time," the former announced. "There is the matter of rescuing Earth's biosphere from those mushrooms dear Carla accidentally unleashed when she came to our house some days ago. Coming, Nee-chan?"
"Hai, Nii-chan!" Infinity declared.
In a flash of light, they disappeared from Yiziba.
An instant later, a flash appeared over the Moroboshi home in Tomobiki, allowing two Terran-born Yizibajohei to emerge. "Ah, there is no place like home!" Rake declared with a pleased nod before he gazed around, a frown turning his lips. "Yet it appears, dear Nee-chan, that our home has been invaded by fungi! Look at all the damage that's caused! We need to do something about it!"
"Hai, that we do!" Infinity said with a knowing smirk as she levitated herself into the air, a blinding glow emerging from her heat.
Scant seconds later, an Akira-like wave of energy lashed out to completely swamp all of Tomobiki with its power.
"Dumbledore-koochou, what's that?!"
Looking up as one of the Japanese Magical Ministry's agents called out, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore -- he had come out with elements of the British Magical Ministry when the call for aid had radiated from Tokyo -- gasped as he felt the thunder of energy rip past their position just east of the border between Tomobiki and Nerima. His eyes were quick to detect the alien mushrooms vanishing as each was swept over by that onslaught of sheer power. At the same time, those homes, streets and other things that were damaged by the mushroom plague were instantly restored to the way they were not six days before.
It was as if all of Tomobiki had been bathed in a town-wide Reparo spell!
"My word!" the ancient headmaster of Hogwarts gasped as he felt the power fade, returning Tomobiki to the near-darkness of the middle of the night.
"What did that, sir?" a young Japanese hit-wizard demanded.
"I can't say," Albus replied, shaking his head.
"BOSS!"
The main doors leading to the bridge of Invader's personal cruiser flew open, allowing the large Oni warlord to storm up. "What is it?!"
"Boss, all the mushrooms have vanished!" the sensory officer cried out.
Silence.
"WHAT?!" Invader yelled. "HOW?! Did the Yaminokuni . . .!"
"Nossir! Not a single pig's come down from Prince Rupa's ship, Boss!"
"How?!" Lum demanded; she had come onto the bridge right after her father, with Oyuki and Benten following her. "You can't vanish all those . . .!"
"BOSS!"
"WHAT?!" Invader snapped as he looked at another sensory officer. "What is it?!"
The warlord then paused on seeing the younger man's flesh turn totally white as he turned to stare at his leader. "B-boss . . . " he sputtered out fearfully. "L-life sc-scans just p-picked up t-two . . .!"
"What?!" Benten snapped.
Silence.
"Two of They-Who-Must-Never-Be-Named," the officer announced in a flat tone.
Everyone froze as that news washed over them.
"They just detected us, Nii-chan. Sorry I didn't block off the scans of you."
"Don't plague yourself about it, Nee-chan. What shall we do with them?"
Infinity hummed as she considered that point, and then she said . . .
