Restart: Phoenix Wright, Space Attorney [Episode 195541]

Business was going slow for Phoenix Wright, Attorney-at-law. He pondered the possibility of spending some of his copious spare time boning up on his legal knowledge, but one look at the shelves of inscrutable law books covering half of two walls in his inner office reminded him that doing so would only invite a headache that no aspirin could cure. Just then, however, his other source of headaches came into the room.

"Nick! You will NOT believe the client that just came into the waiting room!"

Maya Fey was his assistant, the nineteen-year-old younger sister of his late mentor, Mia Fey. She was usually cheerful and enthusiastic and eager to help him out, but her naivete and klutziness often meant that she got in the way as much as she helped. Still, it was nice to have somebody to bounce ideas off of.

Maya was also a spirit medium, the heir-apparent to the Fey school of spirit channeling. While it might seem odd that a spirit medium would be teamed up with a lawyer, her ability to call the souls of the deceased to briefly inhabit her body was the real deal, and had helped him out in several trials.

Phoenix pushed back his spiky hair, to little effect--it was always spiky despite his many attempts to tame it over the years--and looked up at her.

"Just what is it that I won't believe?"

"Well, this client is literally out of this world! She's an actual real life space alien, and she wants you to represent her in a lawsuit!"

"You're kidding!" Phoenix said.

"No, really!

Phoenix got up from his desk and went into the waiting room to meet this alien client. It was:
