Lamp Of Mihoshi: The expected option? [Episode 195551]

by Kestral

"Uhm," interrupted Mihoshi. "You've already made your wish."

"I did?" asked Inuyasha, a little panicked. "When?"

"When you wished for a harem," said Mihoshi, adopting a puzzled expression. "Or at least I think you did something like that."

"NO! Whatever that is, I don't want it... at least I don't think I do," said Inuyasha. "What is that anyway? Doesn't even sound like a Japanese word."

Mihoshi nodded and produced a large book. "I had to look it up myself. It says here that a harem is the part of a Muslim house reserved for the residence of women."

"Oh? A house, huh?" Inuyasha thought about Kagome's house in that weird future world. Well, that didn't sound bad.

"Two," continued Mihoshi, "the women in a Muslim household, including the mother, sisters, wives, concubines, daughters, and entertainers and maids I guess."

"Well, my mother's dead and I don't have any of the rest of that, so that probably isn't it," said Inuyasha, losing a little panic as getting a house didn't seem to really have any of the problems he'd foreseen from Kagome's reaction.

"Three," continued Mihoshi. "A social group of female animals, as elephant seals, where there is one fertile male that keeps other males away."

"I don't even know what an elephant seal is, so that probably ain't it," said Inuyasha.

"Four," continued Mihoshi. "A group of women sexual partners in a relationship with a single male."

"Uhm," said Inuyasha, his ears going flat. THAT one sounded like something Miroku would like. Also something that Kagome would be unhappy about. After all, whenever Miroku chased after women - Kagome AND Sango got upset.

"Five," continued Mihoshi. "From the Arabic haram - meaning women's quarters. Literally something forbidden or kept safe."

"None of that sounds like it really applies to me," said Inuyasha, hoping the blonde ditz would buy into that.

"Six," continued Mihoshi. "A subgenre of anime and manga wherein a male lead character is surrounded by various female characters, usually who seek a relationship with the lead male. The relationship is often, but not always, of a romantic nature. Oh, I see."

"Uhm, can I redo my wish?" asked Inuyasha hopefully. "Out of all those, I think I'd prefer the house but I really..."

"Got it!" chirped the little blonde disaster area. "Well, I'm sure it'll work out."

Inuyasha's lower lip actually quivered. "What will work out?"

"INUYASHA!" interrupted Shippo as he nearly shot past both of them in a mad rush. He came looping back as soon as he realized who he'd nearly run over. "Inuyasha! Come quick! It's Kagome!"

Inuyasha cursed as he sped back along his earlier path, dreading what he would see.

What he actually saw caused him to nearly fall on the ground though, to the extent he held onto a tree to keep him upright as he STARED.

Kikyo had shown up. What really made this weird was that:
