Now he was apparently a rich man. With a dead father. And a lot of maids.
Robot maids mostly.
His sleep was fitful, though there was a dream.
"Oh wow," said the ditzy blonde genie. "Marmalade skies. So that's what they look like.""Huh," remarked Ranma, fighting off a bowl of rice. "Hadn't noticed."
"Well, this is your dream," said Mihoshi. "Why am I suddenly wearing a nun's outfit and carrying a really big ruler?"
"I've heard nuns are really mean fighters," admitted Ranma. "Never met one yet. Catholic churches don't seem to be real giving with their secret martial arts techniques."
"I didn't even know they had secret martial arts techniques," said Mihoshi, surprised at this knowledge. "Must be why they're secret."
"Sure, it's a temple - temples always got secret martial arts unless they're lost arts," said Ranma, grabbing up a very large french fry and beating back the bowl of rice with it.
"Goshujin-sama is in dire straits," said Miyu Greer, dropping down out of the marmalade (looked like strawberry marmalade in fact) skies in order to pull a positively huge gun out of her skimpy maid dress. "Assist protocols active. Scarlet Mode engaged. Fire control active."
"Don't think you've seen the last of me, Ranma Saotome," growled the bowl of rice as pieces of it were shot away. "I was made with water you got from that stream and you didn't boil the water sufficiently!"
"So?" asked Ranma.
"Mountain stream," said the bowl of rice ominously. "You understand what was upstream?"
gurgle
"Oh heck," said Ranma, dropping and clutching his midsection. "Not again."
The giant bowl of rice mutated to a large green amorphous monster.
Ricebowl upgrades to E.Coli "Calling for assistance," said Miyu.
A large bottle of soy sauce appeared.
"You have very weird dreams," said Mihoshi, eyeing the text message near the ceiling.
bamf A text message appeared along with several maids. Reinforcements arrive.
"We're here to assist... what the hell is THAT?!" asked a tomboyish but busty maid.
"Scan reveals boss monster," said a robo-maid with short blonde hair, "identified as E.Coli - it favors poison/disease attacks. 950 hit points, 240 magic points."
An elf-maid drew her bow back, sighting along the arrow. "Good. I was hoping for an action scene. ARROW STORM!"
"Oh darn," realized Mihoshi. "I forgot why I came back. It was to tell you something..."
A ninja-maid drew two long blades and leapt up into the air, slicing away at the monster as she passed over it.
"I don't think it had anything to do with martial arts or food though," said Mihoshi. "Oh dear. What WAS I supposed to tell you?"
Ranma woke up in the morning, not entirely sure WHAT had occurred overnight. Except that he was hungry and didn't want anything involving rice for once in his life. Maybe pancakes or something.
When he finished awakening, he was further confronted with:
