I wish I knew what was going on.
He'd chosen. Hundreds of options had occurred to him, feeding through the Great Will as he willed understanding through it. He'd had a moment of panic and flailing around as information had fed into him, but then he'd simply used the tools available and again focussed his own will into the Great Will.
Now he was a Knight. The Earth Kingdom male counterpart to the Senshi. There had been the Four Generals, but there had been more than just four Knights. Now he was one, retconned into place and with memories from that era.
Different but the same, like different facets of the same jewel.
He knew what was showing up on the Mercury Computer's visor right now.

Ranma took out the Rod. Not a particularly powerful item in and of itself, but it could become a large number of other things - depending on the need. Need a staff, it became a staff. Need a sword, it became a sword. It reshaped itself to almost anything, as long as it was all one thing and of the same mass. So it could become a bow, but not a bow and arrow. It could become a shield, though to be an effective one it would be less than a meter across.
The thing was, this was how he'd chosen to interfere. Actually though, interfere wasn't quite the word he was looking for. There was enough going on that he thought a sort of 'semi-frequent guest star' status had more appeal than trying to join up. He wouldn't bother with the menace-of-the-week, they could handle those themselves. It was when they were going after the big boss, sinister sorcerers, shadowy pseudo-scientists, or storming the gates of the Citadel-O-Doom that he planned to show up and show off.
He also didn't want to complicate his girl problems terribly much, though it was also true he liked the attention. So he'd just tried a itty-bitty teenie-weenie little tweak that had occurred to him at the spur of the moment.
His 'Senshi' or 'Knight' powers were related to that sort of thing, as well as the sort of powers he thought he could use in his everyday life.
Besides, he was now Aware. That had repercussions of its own.
