“Ma’am? Is something wrong?”
Naruto opened his eyes, leaving the Kyuubi’s sewer for the second time since this madness started. He was lying in the middle of the street, his fellow rebels strewn around him. The Guard wasn’t too eager to kill them though…they were much more concerned for their leader.
Ino, whose mind had returned to her physical body, lifted herself off the ground, looking as if she had merely taken a nap and had just got up. “I’m fine,” she assured the soldiers groggily. “And in a few seconds, you’ll be too.” She then rapidly formed several handseals, and the soldiers immediately snapped to attention, a glassy-eyed expression on their faces.
“All right,” commanded Ino, drowsiness forgotten, “you idiots are going to go back to the Palace. You saw nothing. If anyone asks where I am, tell them I went for a walk and I’ll be back later.”
The soldiers gave a salute, and then jogged off in full formation. Ino reached a hand out to Naruto. “Little trick the Emperor taught me,” she explained as she helped Naruto to his feet. “Lets me control people, but only for short term commands and on weak-willed idiots. Pretty useful in a—“
Ino’s explanation was interrupted by Naruto hugging her tightly. This was a bit awkward, as Ino was now much taller then Naruto. But Naruto didn’t care: he was now one step closer to his goal, and he got an old friend back. Kyuubi had definitely earned some brownie points. “I missed you, Ino.”
Looking down at the ninja embracing her, Ino smiled. “Well, glad to see I was missed. Definitely a step up from the Palace.”
As Naruto broke the hug, Ino explained, “I remember everything that bastard put me through. He warped me, humiliated me, made me attack my friends…” Ino trailed off with a far-off look in her eye. “Sakura, I’m sorry…”
She then returned her gaze to Naruto. “Of course, if you were to treat me like that, I’d be all for it…Master.”
It was then that Naruto noticed Ino’s lovestruck expression, looking at him as if he were some sort of Adonis. The Kyuubi container sighed. He felt guilty about taking advantage of Ino like this…but he realized that he didn’t have much choice given the circumstances. Hopefully, once this was all over, he could restore Ino’s original personality, and she would forgive him.
Back in the sewer, Kyuubi chuckled darkly. It was the kit’s own fault for refusing to let him kill Ino.
While Kyuubi had kept his word and altered what he could, all he could do was change her allegiance to Naruto. Any personality changes made by the PC (most notably her amorous behavior) were still in effect and would stay that way until the PC itself was used to fix the changes. If Kyuubi was lucky, the kit would be persuaded by this brief taste of power to see things his way.
In any case, he had decided to give the Ino girl a very small fraction of his chakra, just in case it might be needed. Now, all he could do was lie in his cell and watch events unfold.
Meanwhile, Naruto had woken up the other resistance members and explained the situation to them.
“So, if you’re her master now, she’s making doe eyes at you because you want her too?”
“What?! No, I—“
“It’s alright, Uzumaki,” assured Baki. “We won’t judge you for that.”
