[Episode 198321]David Watts was running for his life.
A few hours ago, he was just a nobody, who was happy living the otaku dream as an assistant teacher in an elementary schol. Then that man came down and gave him honeyed dreams of great power, limitless freedom, and the right to do what he wanted.
Now, he was a wanted man. And all he had was his glowing flashlight hands and empty promises running through his head from the Sean Connery look-a-like, as he ran hell-bent for leather down the streets of Ikebukuro, the psycho calling himself the Dominator hot at his heels.
"There's no escape, slight!" The leather clad maniac called after him, the pedestrians David struggled past in blind fear easily tossed aside. "You're a dead man, and you know it! Just like the last Sunspot before you!"
David whimpered, horrible memories he didn't live through surging through his mind. It shouldn't have to be like this! He never said it was like this for the last people!
Above his head, he saw a pair of figures leaping across the sides of the street, straight towards him from the front. He'd never seen them before in his life, he knew that they were Cyclotron and Caracajou. "Nowhere to run, slight! It's time for your latest death scene!"
David searched through the crowd for something, anything, to get him away from the Dominator. There! The entrance of Sunshine 60! He gave the leather madman a quick look before breaking right, and making a mad dash into the archway, barrelling down the halls of the skyscraper into safety.
The Dominator's face twisted into a sneer as his quarry dashed into the building, tossing the old lady he held out into the street. The sound of her body impacting a oncoming taxi was a panacea to him. The slight would be cornered, with no escape. Then again, it was a pretty big building. Well, he could soon fix that. Caracajou would go after the slight. Cyclotron, however, would have a better task to do.
Inside the Sunshine 60, David ducked into a clothing store, and collapsed against a fashionably dressed mannequin, trying to get a hold on his hammering heart, and keep his mind from whirling around in blind panic about those people out to kill him and anyone else, just like the crazy chick who wanted to blow up that planet, and it's all the fault of Sean Connery and how he really wished he was back home right now
"Found you!"
David screamed as blades of glowing energy zinged past his nose, wobbled as his sense of balance tried to assert itself, and toppled as a second swing caused him to abandon that idea. He skittered backwards like a cockroach as the Heel approached him like a tiger to his prey. In desperation, David raised his hands as if to shield himself from certain death... And let loose.
Caracajou yelped and stumbled back as flashes of brilliant light assaulted his vision, each spark leaving David's hands as bright and as intense as the brightest professional camera flash, and at a rate rivalling strobe lighting. By the time the flashes stopped and he could rub the red out of his eyes, the slight was already swinging a mannequin straight at his head. In seconds, he was down like a sack of wet mice.
David gently placed the now rumpled-looking mannequin back on solid ground, and gazed down at his hands, marvelling at the new trick he had somehow managed to pull out. "Not so slight now, am I?" More memories came back to him in a rush, like living through a highlight reel all of their lives simultaneously, down to the last second. Memories of the people who last had the powers he had now.
"I won't lose to you, slight!" Caracajou said as he stumbled to his feet. "Your little tricks won't save you now!" And, almost as soon as he was up he was out and swinging, David hopping backwards on the defensive. The energy blades at Caracajou's wrists made trails as he spun and flipped towards David, as he ducked and weaved frantically and trying to keep his distance.
David whipped his hands out, flashes of light sparking from his fingers with each dodge, just as intense as before. But Caracajou only stumbled as he shielded his eyes and turned his head, trying his best to avoid the flashes of light.
This manic, fatal, fumbling dance continued, the two dashing and leaping across the shopfloor. All around them bystanders fled, trying to get somewhere safe from the man fighting for his life against the psychotic metahuman, scattering as the two came towards them with each step.
Then suddenly, it stopped as soon as it began, as a gigantic lurch suddenly sent people toppling to the floor, including David and Caracajou.
"What the hell was that?!" David said to himself, the creaking sound that was starting to emenate from below him giving him a sick feeling in his stomach.
"Looks like it's the end of you, slight!" Caracajou laughed as he got to his feet. "I'll see you in hell!" He dashed off, cackling like a loon.
Warning bells went off in David's head, and he scrambled to his feet, ready to break into another mad dash.
He only managed to get to his feet before the ceiling suddenly rushed down to greet him.

Two minutes ago.
The Dominator stood on the roof of the Sunshine 60 building, far above the streets of Tokyo. He gazed at the city stretching out below him, at the miles of steel, concrete and glass.
A sprawling city made by the hands of norms. How very droll.
Sure enough, he looked down on the sames like everybody else. It was the nature of the universe: it was hard to treat those inferior to yourself with any modicum of respect. But norms? Norms, he never really liked.
Oh sure, lots of Yizibajohei absolutely love the norms. Can't get enough of them. Hand some random Yizibajohei a norm like the ones of planet Earth, and they'd clasp him to their bosom and cuddle it, pet it, and name it George. He never got how many of his kinda were so enamoured of a race inferior to even sames.
Still, they were good for some fun. In a few seconds, Cyclotron would be done with the supports of this crappy little skyscraper. After that, one little jump, and the norms and that pissant slight would be buried beneath. All dead, hopefully. And then every same and Yizibajohei would know he was here, and it would be glorious, glorious violence from that moment on.
As the building shuddered beneath him, the Dominator felt his mouth water in anticipation. Cyclotron was done at his end. Now for the moment he waited hours for.
In a single motion, he kicked off the top of the Sunshine 60 building, relishing the cries of agony that the weakened steel skeleton gave, courtesy Cyclotron.
At the apex of his leap, a mile above straight up, he let himself hang in the air for as long as he could, his body held out ramrod straight, ready to plow through fists-first.
And then he dove.

All across Tokyo resounded a terrible sound, the city rocked by the sound of steel, concrete and glass collasping in on itself. Heads turned towards Ikebukuro, as a massive plume of dust and debris billowed upwards towards the sky. Cries and shouts of panic resounded throughout the city.
"Hey! Did you see that?!"
"Looks like it came from the city!"
"Is that coming from Sunshine City?!"
"Ran-chan, did you see that!"
"Ranma, we'd better go!"
"Right! Let's get moving!"
"Onii-chan!"
"I saw it, nee-chan! Come on!"
"Darling!"
"...damn it!"
Across Tokyo, a massed throng of people took off in full flight, towards the rising column of chaos from within the city. Quickly they descended on Sunshine to answer the panic.
And now...
