However, he could never mention his love of the series 'Gold Digger'. If anyone heard he was a fan of a catgirl, and even worse, the fan of a serious with many well-endowed women, he'd never hear the end of it from any of the fiancees! People might think he was faking the Neko-Ken, (which he wasn't.) It wasn't his fault that the Neko-Ken made him start to actually appreciate feline traits. (While a cat still scared the shit out of him, he found cat-like traits on girls absolutely sexy). But if the others found out about that, then he would never hear the end of how he was a 'pervert' from anyone. Especially Akane.
Ranma chuckled mithlessly to himself. It was in effect, Akane's fault he fell 'in love' with Sheila as much as he did, and in more ways than one.
First, Akane was the one to mallet him, which sent him flying into a small comic-book shop that ahd just opened up at the edge of the city. The man that owned the store was kind enough to give him a free comic for 'being his first customer'. From then on, Ranma was hooked on the series. He even went in regularly, just to see what was new in the store.
Second, was Ranma's pre-disposition for Akane. As much as he loved Akane, she really was a mean person to him and that was what made it harder for him to open up to her. Reading the series, and especially the 'Gold Digger: Edge Guard' mini-series, made him realize something spooky. Sheila was everything that he liked about Akane. She could be nice when she wanted to be, wasn't afraid to stand up for herself, she was 'petite', a real tomboy, and she bashed REAL perverts, not just people she thought was one like Akane always did to him.
Basically, Sheila was Ranma's first, foremost, and only 'dream girl'. There just weren't many cute catgirls that were Tomboys, and even then, if there were, none would compare to Sheila.
Sheila looked at the hand the boy that had the funny-looking grin on his face. He was holding out to her in a friendly gesture. She was surprised that he knew her. She really couldn't consider that for long however, as she felt a strange attraction to him. Better ask him, so she doesn't have to dwell on it for long. "How did you know me? Just who are you? Have we met before? Where are we?"
This got Ranma out of his reverie of thought. Blinking his eyes a few times, Ranma blushed. "Sorry about that. I'm Ranma Saotome. And no, we haven't met before." Motioning to the area around them, Ranma said, "We're in the castle of some evil pervert that wanted to make you, and others his sex slaves. I came to save all of you!"
Sheila blushed and looked horrified with what Ranma was telling her. "What do you mean someone wanted to make me a sex-slave!?"
Wincing, Ranma answered, "Yeah. Some major pervert. Ataru Moroboshi. He got some sort of tool to hop across dimensions, and he's trying to make himself a harem. The jerk even kidnapped a bunch of my friends." Smirking confidently, Ranma said, "But don't worry, I'm here to stop him!"
Sheila nodded her head. She had to admit, Ranma seemed confident. Plus, he looked really cute when he smiled.
A stray thought then hit Sheila. "That still doesn't explain how you know me."
Ranma then blushed. "Well, to be honest, in my dimension, you're a comic book."
This caught Sheila's attention. "A what?"
"Yeah," Ranma said. "A comic book. You know, like the small magazines with pictures that make a story?"
Sheila was stunned. "You mean my life is an open book to other dimensions!?" Sheila asked, blushing a lot.
Ranma blushed as well, feeling bad for embarassing the jagwere. "Well, not entirely. Just certain aspects..."
Silence was between the two for a moment. Finally, Ranma said, "Listen, Sheila-san. I'm sorry I embarassed you. I'm your biggest fan, and I want to help you and the others get free."
Sheila blushed. He was her fan? Oh well, at leats he was cute. Wait, did she actually think that.
