That wasn't to say that he wasn't exactly responding to his 'gift' in more... hormonal ways.
Nabiki was an attractive girl after all. Many guys at school would have loved to get a shot at her, as she certainly was a welcome catch. Despite her lack of training in the Art, she was nicely toned, and had to be flexible if she was going to fit comfortably in that box. Her breasts were large and firm, with a bounce that many guys watched, and he knew that she was aware of how nice her shapely legs were, as she flaunted them plenty of times in cutoffs or short skirts. With her curvy figure and lovely face, she certainly had never been in danger of going 'dateless'. In fact, she was quite available for going out with a guy who would treat her... although his wallet and pride might just be much lighter once she was done with him.
Still, it was a surprise that she would do something like this. Placing herself into a present box for him was certainly an open and clear indication of her intentions. However, she'd never put herself into the midst of the mess that was his life before, and for good reason. She was an instigator and a manipulator, not a combatant, and she knew it. Being stupid had never been her 'schtick', and she sure as hell never did anything without considering the possible outcomes.
She was there though, and had clearly been setting things up for him. Had he not knocked the top of her box, he might not have seen her before it became time to open his presents, but he sure as hell knew that he would have noticed such a big box. As it was, it was not only protecting her from the cold, but fit the bill in regards of 'wrapping his gift' as well as giving her a place to sleep. Oddly enough, this reassured him, since, if someone was going to make multiple uses of one product, it was her.
Looking down at her... had him reaching up to cover his mouth and nose before he could yelp, or have a trickle of blood come out. He was no Ryoga Hibiki, but he was still a red blooded male, and seeing someone that attractive looking like that was still going to cause all sorts of... odd thoughts. Fortunately, familiarity with being in compromising positions, while a scary thought, had helped him keep from adding to this one.
At the same time, he recognized that she likely really meant this, since he couldn't see her acting this way otherwise. Nabiki certainly knew her own mind, and she wasn't about to act on uncertainly. A possibility that she had hidden motives and actions did float through his mind, but he was aware that he wouldn't find out anything like this.
