Somehow, Akane managed to both have her heart thumping in her chest, and feeling like it had stopped beating. "Are you serious?"
"I might have a lot of problems, but memory isn't one of them. Nabiki Tendo, student from Furinkan High School and daughter of Soun is your sister, right?"
"Yes, she is!" the transformed girl confirmed, and started to get all giddy. "This is so great! Wonderful! I could only hope, but for this to really happen...."
"Ya mind calmin' down and stayin' still?" Ranma asked as he held onto his seat to keep from being shaken out of it.
"Why should I? This something that I should celebrate!"
"Yeah, but you're rockin' the van."
"Oh, okay...." she murmured, settling down with a blush on her cheeks.
"That's good. 'Course, I can understand why ya'd be excited."
"I'm glad. But the thing is that this is the first time that I'm going to get to see my sister since we've escaped. You're saying that she's okay, right?"
Professor Natsume quickly glanced over his shoulder to let her see his smile before turning his attention back to driving. "She's doing really well. Fortunately, she wasn't that bad off when we got to her... other than that what those idiots did to her."
"Really?"
"Yes. Seems that she went and found ways to adapt to her situation. She used what they gave her to help her survive."
"Sounds like her."
"Eh?"
"Nabiki always was the crafty one in the family," the transformed girl admitted with a shrug of her bulky shoulders. "If someone was going to turn things to her advantage, it would be her."
"Well then, it sounds like she's really continuing on with that."
"I just have one question though," Ranma put in.
"What is it?"
"They transformed the three of them, right? Then what did this sister get turned in to?"
