Urusei Retcon: Confirming the changes [Episode 200717]

by Black & White

Ataru shook his head and looked down at the small booklet. "Wow," he whispered to himself. Then he glanced around, looking around for some change in the park. With a grin he shook his head.

"No, I'm sure what happens on Neptune stays on Neptune, and it's not like I can just drop by Oyuki-chan's place and ask." Ataru looked down at the comic book once again. "If I want to confirm that this is really real, I'll need to change something that I can verify here and now. Something involving a house I can go to."

Ataru looked around once again, then started back with a loud "Gyah!' as Cherry's ugly face suddenly popped up in front of him.

"The features of your face, they're so ominous!" the tiny monk declared from the top of the small box he had borrowed to reach Ataru's eye level.

"That's what you always say!" Ataru screamed as he pulled out a hammer and knocked the annoying monk skyward with a hit that would have made most baseball scouts drool.

"This is fate!" Cherry called out as he shrank into invisibility.

"Stupid monk, I can't believe that troll is actually related to..." trailing off, Ataru picked up the comic book again and flipped it back a bit before his encounter with Oyuki. "Hmm," he murmured, considering his initial encounter with Sakura, culminating in her attempted exorcism that had instead ejected all the disease spirits haunting her to gang pile on him instead. "Not that she ever said thank you," he grumbled. His eyes slid to the mechanical pencil waiting in the polybag.
