Ranma idly fingered the twin spots that had appeared on his forehead, courtesy of the curse. All Aries Saints had them since the mythological times, proof of their Mu blood. He looked at his reflection in one of the pools, assessing the physical changes brought upon him by the cursed spring of drowned Athena's Saint.
Strangely, apart from the spots and a more mature body, he wasn't radically altered. He turned to his childhood companion. Hobbes had been an anthropomorphic tiger and Jusenkyo transformed him into a real adult Bengal Tiger. He was also able to switch between his two forms at will while he was stuck.
"How do you do that ?" He asked Hobbes, currently pilfering Genma's food supply. His father should have known better than run away without his backpack.
[It's a tiger thing. You wouldn't understand] Hobbes looked a little smug when saying that. Then the tiger went for Ranma's backpack.
"Hey, leave my cookies alone !" The young martial artist jumped on his friend and a brief scuffle ensued, proving that even if Ranma got a cosmic power-up, he was still a child at heart.

The Jusenkyo guide had to be forcefully convinced to let Ranma and Hobbes stay the night. After he destroyed the door (with one finger, Ranma was still amazed at that) and Hobbes pounced on the man, he had no choice.
The Guide explained to Ranma how the cursed springs worked. But hot water did not transform him back, the springs where something or someone very powerful reinforced the curse to the point of permanency. For Ranma, it was no big deal, it wasn't as if he had been transformed into a helpless animal or a *shudder* girl.
Ranma decided to sleep here and go look for his father tomorrow. And during the night, he dreamed of epic battles, moral conflicts and yummy food...

The next day, Ranma and hobbes were following a trail in the mountains, the guide had told them that there was a village of amazons or something like that not far from the training ground of cursed springs.
Ranma was unusually thoughtful. The dreams of last night had looked so real. They were a clue to help him control the power (cosmo ? Weird name...) he felt slumbering in him now. While munching on a cookie, he thought back on the techniques his Saint self had pulled out in the dreams.
Psychic Powers : Teleportation, Telekinesis and some Telepathy
Crystall Wall : A barrier of crystalline material able to stop and reflect all physical or energy attacks.
Starlight Extinction : A huge energy wave of untold destructive power.
Stardust Revolution : THE ultimate attack of the Aries Saint, even more powerful and deadly than the last one.
And that was only the tip of the iceberg. A Saint could do many things with his cosmo, especially if he was a Gold Saint with mastery of the Seventh Sense. Sadly, Ranma wasn't ready to tap into his full power for now. He would have to train harder than in his whole life to do it.
Ranma shook his head and caught up with Hobbes. A few minutes later...
