Shinji gasped.
As these gifts activated, things he'd ignored led by retconning to scans he'd have made, facts he'd have learned, as he said he wished he WAS like this, after all.

Shinji shattered.
As the awful truth of what he was born for, raised for, fated for it this wasn't stopped slammed in, the understandable heatred of it all tore him apart, leaving only the man he'd so foolishly wanted to be standing there, glowing green eyes quirking as his Masamune appeared at last.

Sephiroth smiled.

• Sephiroth Ikari decides he's going to take over the EVA project, as being God suits him well.
• Sephiroth Ikari decides to destroy SEELE and all the rest, then figure out what to do after.
• Rei II is awakened by Shinji, but THIS version is Sephiroth inside, and he claims his fellow victim with ease, before leading her to escape and destroy SEELE and Eva at leisure.
• Shinji's soul remains at the core, and thus once again a Sephiroth, maddened, goes forth to free his Mother.. God Help Us All.
• Asuka comes along to keep the Child in his place.. will she live?
• Something Else, possibly to do with this, or with Mihoshi, whatever! :)
