Thanks to Akane's Cooking last night Ranma enjoyed getting up by his own power. No Genma tossing him out the window or Akane pouring ice water on him to wake him up.
Ranma stretched the kinks out of his body and walked out of the room he was staying in. He just knew he was going to get double-teamed by the two old bastards since Pops was not in the room when he got up.
Both Genma and Soun were nursing cups of sake trying to recover from the chemical EMP Akane had forced down their throats.
As soon as both the old fools saw him they started whining and shouting at him.
"HOW COULD YOU FORCE US TO EAT THAT TORTURE, RANMA?" Soun and Genma shouted.
"Quite easily since you force me to do it many times in the past." Ranma growled out.
"It is your honorable duty to eat what my little girl makes for you, Ranma." Soun bellowed.
"That's right boy." Ranma's eyes narrowed in anger. "It is your honorable duty to eat what your loving fiancee makes for you."
Ranma just snorted and turned away from the old fools. Both Soun and Genma knew better to attack Ranma since they have been hearing stories that Ranma was pissed off. Not to mention the aura that foretold huge amounts of pain if they did something stupid.
Before any more could be said Kasumi entered the room. One by one the residents of the Tendo house walked into the room.
As usual the short-haired tomboy was angry.
"Where were you last night baka?" Akane barked out.
"I was helping Nabiki with some errands last night, Akane." Ranma answered. "She asked me about an hour before dinner to help her out. After the errands were done it was too late to come back here to eat so we ate at a restaurant."
Before Akane could shout at him calling Ranma a liar Nabiki spoke up.
"He's telling the truth Akane. I needed some help with a few things so I asked him to help me." Nabiki confirmed Ranma's alibi.
It was obvious to everyone at the table that Akane didn't believe what that story. The youngest Tendo believed Ranma was lying and had done something perverted to her sister. Akane also believed that Ranma was forcing Nabiki into covering for the perverted freak. Why else would he miss her masterful, deliciously cooked meal?
Ranma just rolled his eyes when he saw that Akane was coming up with a story that he forced himself on Nabiki.
"I cooked last night as you well know Ranma." Akane was glaring at Ranma.
"And?"
"The ingredients must have ruined." Akane nodded her head in complete belief in her failure to cook as good as Kasumi.
'She's just as delusional as the Kunos. Why can't she admit she can't cook?' Ranma asked himself. "But didn't Kasumi pick up groceries the day before yesterday?"
"Oh my you are right Ranma." Kasumi said.
"You must have been swindled Kasumi since the ingredients were bad." Akane stubbornly said.
'Typical.' Ranma, Nabiki, and with great surprise Kasumi thought the same thing at the same time.

In an apartment a young woman was getting ready to teach at Furinken.
'The pain must have been just a one time occurence.'
