She paled as Genma cheerfully told her the news of just how he had freed her from that spell-contract. She'd felt leave with a mixture of relief and anxiety, not certain how the freedom had come about. Then Genma had come home, without Ranma and explained Jusenkyo and what happened afterward.
"I turned over Ranma just like your contract insisted," Genma said proudly. "We're now free to live our lives without that hanging over us."
"You...you...you SOLD our child!?" Nodoka screamed, eyes threatening to burst with tears of rage and despair.
"But that contract..." Genma said, confused, as Nodoka stood up and regard him with a mixture of disbelief and betrayal.
"I've been working AROUND the contract you fool!" Nodoka shouted. "We have two biological children being raised by other families so that they wouldn't fall under that contract! I guess I was right to hide that from you, you SLIME!! I thought Ranma was safe! I thought you'd make him manly! That's what YOUR contract read, isn't it? I didn't want you to make him into our daughter and SELL him!!!"
"But it's only for a year," Genma said. And Nodoka rounded on him. "Then he's back to becoming my heir."
"Don't you remember anything?!" Nodoka shouted. "By the end of a year he'll think that's where he belongs! He won't WANT to come back, because he'll be afraid to leave! Then, she'll be sold off to the highest bidder as trophy wife, or sex slave, or worse, she'll BECOME like Kimiko. He...no SHE...by now Kimiko already has some spell used to take away any masculinity he had...so SHE will be a broken little girl sold in slavery and prostitution by her own parents! We won't get HER back."
"But, it's..." Genma didn't get to finish as Nodoka's foot came up between his groin. He groaned in a moderately high pitched voice as he passed out on the way to the floor.
Nodoka, freed from the spell of that contract went to the phone and did something she'd always wanted to do. She called the police.
"Yes, could you please send some men over," Nodoka said tightly, anger and sorrow brimming over. "I just found out...that my husband...sold our child to a brothel. Yes, he's here, please come quickly."
After the police had been called, Nodoka placed two more calls. She had kept in touch with the families that raised her children, sometimes visiting them and staying with the children during the "parents" long trips. The situation was known, and the children, now nearly adults, understood that Nodoka was their birth mother and just why she had given them up for adoption.
