Setsuna's Fault - GCS/Codex Nerima: If you blink, you'll miss it. [Episode 203322]

by Greyman

It was the wind that Ami felt second and caused her to turn.  The slight shift in the boys’ emotions, was the first indication, but the wind was a clear announcement.  Ami saw the source arrive in the middle of a wind stream.

Makoto’s air fury surged around her, taking the form of a transparent mare with billowing green mane, that moved in time with the girl’s steps.  Makoto could not quite manage flight, yet, but her fury born speed carried her forward almost quicker than the eye could follow.

Emerald broke away as Makoto ploughed into the boys.  Using manifestation in a brawl would earn another suspension, but she hardly needed to.  Makoto retained enough speed to block fists, dodge earth crafted blows, and generally rain havock on her opponents.

Like Ami herself, Makoto was a girl with a strong fury but, quite unlike Ami, she tended to stand out.  Her in-your-face bad-girl attitude caught the attention of the boys, and they liked it.  Makoto evidently didn’t mind the attention at all, not at first.  She had her pick of the boys, but of them all she just had to pick a handsome idiot.

Ami shook her head at the foolishness, and walked over to the pile of boys to have Sapphire check for serious injuries.  A few boys always had enough metal crafting to ignore the worst Makoto could deliver, and no where near enough sense not to.

As if Ami’s thinking of metal crafters without sense were a cue, Makoto’s former sempai stepped out from behind a tree.  He flattered her.  She flatten him.

“Jackass,” Makoto muttered as she stormed off.

“I still stand,” proclaimed the prostrate jackass.

Ami Ono just sighed, walked passed him, and made her way to class.
