Naruto chuckled at the sight of the fallen third Hokage. After the soul crushing despair he'd faced today, failing the gennin exam once more, it was not without a certain vindictiveness against the world as a whole that he relished the thought of the alleged mightiest ninja in Konoha falling to simple perversion.
Still, he had his mission, it was right there in front of him. A treasury with its doors unbound and unguarded, and all he would take was a single scroll. His palms were damp with sweat as he reached out to take the huge scroll.
On the other hand, if he were allowed to just take the scroll and learn one particular technique from it, it would be almost as if a trickster god wasn't toying with his life at all. So, as his arm raises, his eyes grow blank and he stares unnoticing as his hand falls on:
