Hitomi Bezwinger is a friend of Ein Hayate. She has studied her family's branch of karate from an early age, and as her father is a noble within the German aristocracy also has some Rune magic of her own with the primary rune of Nauthiz. This increases her resistance to physical damage and illusions.
Ranma blinked as he watched the standoff continue between all three girls.
Your father has indicated that the Bezwinger clan and your own might one day be united, if certain other conditions are met. Arranged marriages between distant aristocratic families is actually fairly normal. Since the ability to use and control strong rune magic is genetic, such arrangements are approved of in general society even with societies as different as the German Republic and Japan.
"Ah heh," said Ranma, debating between trying to cut in and trying to duck and cover.
Before you ask, Kasumi is Ayane's half sister. She is fond of you because you treated her as a normal girl and martial artist, compared to the 'precious doll' that most of the clan does. So all three girls have ties to Ein Hayate as well as to yourself. In the case of Hayate they see him mostly as a family member.
"Can't we all just get along?" asked Ranma hopefully.
Genma WINCED. Ein WINCED. Hayabusa WINCED. At least half the other males on the train car, well, they winced too.
"NO!" said Hitomi, Ayane, and Kasumi.
"Well, that's something at least," said Hayate.
"What's that?" asked Ranma.
"You got all three of them to agree on something," responded Hayate.
"Well, I was kinda hoping," said Ranma.
"Wait. Hold on! You want us to get along?" asked Hitomi, staring at Ranma. "You're kidding, right?"
"No, no, it'd be really nice, I mean," Ranma looked from one to the other real quickly seeing each of them go through similar shocked-disgusted-speculative-then frowning expressions and wondered what the HECK he'd done now.
Had the Universe just snickered? No, that couldn't be.
"Yeah," said Ranma, trying to simultaneously figure out what he'd said that was so bizarre and keep a fight from breaking out in a moving train, "I really wish that you girls could be friends."

"Uhm," Ranma glanced at his hand. He was SURE he'd seen a flicker from that Great Will thingie that time.
"Maybe," said Kasumi guardedly. "Maybe not, but maybe..."
"Eventually," said Hitomi with what sounded like serious reservations. "After certain issues are settled."
"Possible if unlikely," allowed Ayane cautiously.
"With serious reservations," said another female voice.
Startled looks from nearly everyone. Finally Hitomi found the little transceiver device clipped to her belt. She crushed it a moment later.
