Setsuna's Fault: Starting from the Beginning [Episode 203893]

Setsuna gulped. "I'm afraid the energy of the Paradox Storm, as well as the destruction of the Nanban Mirror and my Time Key Staff, have sent us hundreds of millions of years into the past... We're now in the Precambrian Eon."

Everyone but Ami stared at her in confusion. Seeing their looks, Ami explained, "The Cambrian Period is when multi-cellular life first became prevalent on the Earth. All of Earth's pre-history before that Period is known as the 'Precambrian'."

Ranma and Usagi still looked lost. Before they could figure out what to ask, though, Mina asked, "So the only living things around right now is bacteria and pond scum?"

Ami looked uncertain. "That depends on exactly when during the Precambrian we are... " She glanced to Setsuna.

Setsuna coughed into her hand, and said;

• We're approximately four-and-a-half billion years in the past, before the planetoid Thera impacted the Earth, creating the Moon. Sailor Moon won't be able to transform in this time period, and as far as I know, there is no life. On the good side, we don't have to worry about changing history - when Thera hits, everything on the surface of the Earth prior to that point is destroyed..."
• "We're approximately four billion years in the past. Life won't appear on the Earth for another hundred million years or so."
• "We're approximately two billion years in the past. Single celled plants have evolved, but not single-celled animals."
• "We're approximately 750 million years in the past, during the middle of the Cryogenian Period - also known as the age of 'Snowball Earth'. Both the land and the sea are covered in ice, and the only life is in the sea below the ice."
• "We're approximately 630 million years in the past, during the Ediacaran or Vendian Period. The Earth is thawing from being frozen over for hundreds of millions of years, and a few early forms of multi-cellular life have evolved."
• "Actually, we're..." (at some other point in the Precambrian.)
