Setsuna focused on her faint connection to the Time Gates for a few moments and then smiled. She opened her eyes and said, "They'll be here soon."
Usagi quickly blurted out, "Who? Who will be here soon?"
The time guardian turned to face her princess and replied, "The remnants of the Twelve First Tribes of Man will be arriving in this system shortly." Seeing the blank looks on her fellow senshi and Ranma, Setsuna started to explain. "Okay girls, its time for a history lesson. Ranma, Usagi, don't either of you nod off on me. This is stuff that you won't learn in school." The a fore mentioned speed eaters both pouted drawing giggles from the seven remaining senshi.
Setsuna got a far away look in her eye as she started to speak. "The Silver Millennium was founded by refugees from the Sailor Wars who will be arriving in this system in about a 1000 or so years. However, the Earth Kingdom was also founded by refugees who will be arriving shortly. These refugees are all that remains from twelve worlds known as the Twelve Colonies of Kobol. The planet Kobol is where Man originated-"
Suddenly, Ami cut Setsuna off and she said, "Wait just a moment Setsuna! Humans evolved on Earth! We have a fossil record the stretches back over 4 million years showing human evolution. What you're saying is scientifically impossible."
To everyone's surprise, Ranma came to Setsuna's defense, "Ya mean like it's scientifically impossible ta have a curse or for magical girls to be real?" Ami's face froze as her mind crashed from trying to refute what Ranma had just told her.
Setsuna gave Ranma a small smile and then continued on telling her story. "Earth and Kobol are spiritual twin planets. Such planets are rare because spiritual twin planets share the same well of life. This means that spiritual twin planets bring forth the same species; although, one planet can have species that the other twin doesn't due to having greater access over the well of life. Such is the case with Earth and Kobol as Earth has far more variety of life than Kobol ever had. Man is one of the lifeforms that both Earth and Kobol drew from the well of life."
"Now then, back to the condensed history lesson. The humans from Kobol formed twelve tribes and were forced off of Kobol by a natural disaster. They settled on twelve worlds and went about living. Half a century ago, the Colonials created a race of robots known as Cylons. Being mankind's children, the Cylons found their condition intolerable and revolted. A few years ago, the Cylons managed to nearly wipe out the Colonials with only a few escaping on ships under the protection of an old military ship, or Battlestar as the Colonials refer to them, known as the Galactica. For the past couple years, the Colonials have been searching for a home and peace from the Cylon threat. Right now, the ancestor of the Earth Kingdom's royal family is leading the Colonials in a final battle that will end the threat of the Cylons once and for all. Once that battle is over, the Galactica will appear in orbit drawing the rest of the Colonials here."
