“Wha!” Asuna dodged to the side as another set of strings flung themselves at her from nowhere. She barely had time to realise she'd moved before she was dodging another attack. And another, and another...
'Man, she's really getting into this! No fair, I didn't make her wear that stupid thing!' She thought as she just managed to avoid falling into another string trap Eva had made. 'There's no way I can beat her!'
can't give up...
Asuna blinked, which almost made her miss Eva's next attack and forced her to do a side flip to compensate. 'That's right. I can't give up. She's got to have a weakness. Everyone does. I just have to find it!'
“Stand still damnit!” The vampire in question snarled. “You know you can't win. What's the point in dragging it out?”
“Why, getting tired?” Asuna asked, before sidestepping another flurry of attacks. 'Yeah, smart idea, provoke the unstable little end-boss'
'S what I'm good at....
'That's what I'm good at, I guess...' Sidestep, twirl, back flip 'This isn't going to work. I can't just dodge her attacks all day, I'll never get anywhere like that...' Forward step, side roll, cartwheel... 'I have to get in close, it's the only way!... but how can I do that?'
Kotaro...
'Wait... what was Kotaro showing Negi earlier? Sho... Shundai? Shundo! That teleport thing. That'd be perfect!' dodge, lean back, handstand '...ummm, how did it go again? Damnit, come on, this is important!' Triple somersault 'I think it was just focusing the right amount of ki into you legs. Okay, that can't be to hard...' step left ' But I'm only going to get one shot at this or she'll be ready for it. What if I screw it up?'
Not gunna screw up...
'I'm the best.' Asuna felt a new surge of confidence fill her as she twisted past another of the increasing infuriated vampires attacks. How had she ever doubted herself?
Find an opening...
'Focus the ki...' It never occurred to Asuna that she'd been little more than a novice at ki manipulation a few hours ago, now the task was ridiculously easy. 'Annnd... Shundo!'
The world blurred for a second, then Asuna was standing in front of a startled Evangeline. 'Sorry Eva, this is gunna hurt.'
