Genma had managed to alter records and perceptions to become Sasuke Uchiha's uncle and legal authority.
The head of the Hyuga Clan did not know these points, merely that Genma Fukuya was a portly guy with considerable taijutsu, genjutsu, and ninjutsu. A friendly wager over a few drinks with the fellow had seen Genma offering up secret scrolls dealing with the Sharingen (which couldn't be performed without the Sharingen, but knowledge of the higher level techniques was still an advantage to be seized upon) versus something that had apparently been just seized upon idly.
Genma Fukuya had NO legal authority to engage Naruto, though he apparently DID know a few things about Naruto that were not exactly public knowledge.
The head of the Hyuga Clan was even now considering how to break the news IF he lost. While neither of them had authority over Uzumaki, as clan head he did hold the authority to do such with Hinata. Yet the very idea. Unthinkable. Unlikely. Impossible. Still, one always had to consider the worst possibility.
"Hinata engaged to marry Naruto Uzumaki," muttered the head of the Hyuga Clan. Well, couldn't happen anyway. Naruto had been trying to use a duplication jutsu for years, and never had gotten it right. Why, once he'd tried to form a duplicate and ended up with something that looked like it had melted.
Naruto went through the hand-seals quickly. "Special Technique: Zee Rocks' Copy Technique!"
It had come to him in Ninja Grade School, a technique that allowed him to copy homework quickly and efficiently. It had its limitations, for one thing you couldn't copy Summoning Scrolls. It also burned chakra really quickly, and you had to have the ink and the paper - which could be a pain to carry around.
It allowed him to make copies of a few dozen techniques for Operation:Spread The Blame.
Naturally with all the work he'd gone through with his Number One Rival regarding the Engagement To Sasuke Cards - his stealth techniques were pretty good. Planting sheets was not a big problem.
Naturally he'd gotten his rival one. No point in ending that rivalry just yet. Especially with that Uncle Genma of Sasuke's. Man was a genius at coming up with tricky (read - insane) yet strangely effective training methods. Sasuke Uchiha would have a truly great and terrifying technique.
