Armageddon was finally over. The three way war between Heaven, Hell, and Dark Schneider was finally over. It had taken the united forces of the divine and the infernal realms to take down Schneider and his allies. As the first class, second category god, Thor looked out over the battlefield all he felt was pure relief that the war was over. On the field before the wounded thunder god laid the bodies of countless gods, demons, angels, and devils.
Thor was no fool; he knew that the dual alliance of Heaven and Hell had almost lost this battle and the war. It was only by the merest chance that Dark Schneider had been taken out, allowing the remaining gods and demons to barely defeat Schneider’s generals. Hopefully, Thor mused, something like this would never happen again. Something like this had better not happen because the dual alliance wouldn’t be able to regain the strength that it once had for thousands if not millions of years.
Turning to face his demonic co-general Thor wearily said, “It looks like the age in which the gods and the demons walk the land is at an end. From what I hear the Almighty and Lady Hid are planning on resetting the Earth to repair the damage that has been caused by this foolish war.”
Ba’al nodded his head and said, “In a way we are lucky that Dark Schneider killed the old King of Hell. Lady Hid is a much more reasonable ruler and is defiantly willing to work with you gods so that this can’t happen again. I’ve heard that she is even proposing something called the doublet system to discourage war between our two realms. This system and the proposal that she and the Almighty have a child together should cement the cooperation of our two realms.”
Just as Thor was about to smile at the thought of what a god/demon hybrid would be like, a low level god suddenly appeared looking white as a ghost. “General Thor, General Ba’al,” the newly arrived god said very nervously, “I bring terrible news. Dark Schneider’s soul and the souls of his closest companions are off the grid!” Both generals immediately lost all color to their faces. If a soul was off the grid, then it could be reincarnated at anytime to any person and neither Heaven nor Hell could hope to track the soul until the reincarnated person showed serious signs of his or her past life. Needless to say, that was NOT what either Thor or Ba’al wanted to hear.
