Despite his relative low level, and apparent inexperience, he was proving to be up to the job. Certainly, anyone who could recognize their own limits and have the foresight to realize that they would need to call on help was an excellent administrator. Then there was the efficient way that he'd gone about his duties that was more than adequate, especially since he was doing ever so much better than that sanitation engineer.
Of course, he was doing well with his tasks in any case. Why, with his direction, there was already an alteration to the food supplement program, advising more of a shift from uniform food supplies, to something more geared towards matching needs for the tasks that the drones were being used for. This logic seemed to fit, seeing as a fighting unit needed different biological care than a repair drone. Self sufficiency was also given a major priority, as the Master had apparently decided that growing foodstuffs onboard ship would aid in that care. Yet, he kept on going, pushing to get through everything, and apparently disliking any sort of mound of paperwork to do it.
With a Master like this, distractions were amusing and cute, but were also ultimately a waste of time. Here was someone who was pushing into the work needing to be done, and his attention was being taken up by what were essentially lower beings. No, it was simply better to quietly deal with them, and let him go back to work.
All it would take would be a bit of action, as the exits were easy to shut down, since everything from fires to hull damage would need to have sections shut down. Then a simple evacuation of the air would lay even the most hardy unit down, as they had not been adapted for anything beyond ground based combat. They would be rendered immobile, and unconscious, which would make them easy to be collected, and even if some expired, they could be useful in other ways. After processing them, they could be assigned to the Master's collection, and he could use them as his appreciation of their abilities apparently had him wanting to do.
Once that happened, then they would actually be worth his time.
Satisfied that it would be helping his cause, the Mothership went into action, while:
