Gary just looked on in awe, trying to assimilate the newest bit of information that made itself known to his self-considered amazing mind.
“Holy shit!” cried Jack.
“Dude, well dis sucks,” said John, as they looked upon the frame of what had been a very expensive and very fortified mobile home.
“WHAT THE FUCK?” yelled Gary. “Who would dare do this to the Great Gary Stroak’s Shaggin’ Wagon?” he bellowed.
“Um … dem bug girls we’re ‘ere for?” asked John.
“Are you sure we did the right thing?” asked Jesse.
“I’m sure,” said James. “With these parts, we can repair our balloon and go after that Peekabu.”
Merrowl blinked. “Hey,” she said. “How come we didn’t just take the thing and drive off with it? It’s gotta be a lot better than the balloon.”
“Well duh,” said James, the one male among the trio, “none of us can drive.”
“Are you two quite finished?” came a voice from the woods, as a cloaked figure walked upon them.
“Who are you?” asked Ranma, quickly slipping into a defensive stance. It was bad enough she was female and surrounded by demon girls and surprisingly hyper-aggressive fiancées.
“A traveler here to help,” he said, “and fear not, I’m not here to hurt you. I’m here to help.”
“We don’t need your help!” claimed Akane, glaring at the new arrival.
The figure’s head moved slightly, as if taking in the youngest Tendo. “Riiiight, I’m sure you’re perfectly capable of surviving in a world you know next-to-nothing about, dealing with all sorts of issues.”
“And you are?” asked Nabiki.
“Why yes, Nabiki, I am.”
The middle Tendo’s eyes went wide at that. “So how long have you been listening in on us to know our names?” she asked.
“Not long,” the figure admitted. “But I knew them before that, middle child of Soun and Kimiko Tendo.” Ignoring her shock as well as those of the other humans, he turned back towards the woods. “ You can come out now, come on, it’s safe.”
The group of humans and pokégirls, at first confused and slightly shocked by the man’s arrival and revelation of information that the humans had not even revealed, could only stare in shock as three very young catgirls came out of the woods, running straight to the man. Before Ranma could even feel a spark of worry, the trio had hidden themselves under the man’s cloak, nearly mirroring Cyan’s own reaction with Kasumi.
“Pokékits,” said Alice.
“Huh?” asked Nabiki.
“Feral pokékits, Nabiki,” said the figure. “There mother was a wild or feral pokégirl, and had these three. They’re not ‘domesticated’ like the three young pokégirls with you now, and in all likelihood will never master human speech.”
“And where is there mother?” demanded Akane, fearing that the cloaked man was another pervert.
“She was killed,” said the man.
“You bastard!” yelled Akane, charging at the figure.
The man sighed as she darted at him, Ranma hesitating for a moment due to the fact that she had three demon girls near him. But it was enough to allow Akane to get to the man first, fist pulled back to deliver what she believed to be righteous anger at a murderer.
She did not expect said man to catch her hand … and show no sign of stress from the act.
“Are you quite finished, or are you too busy with your own little thoughts to want to hear what killed her and would have done so to these girls had I not dealt with it?” he asked, even his voice showing no stress.
Akane could only stare in shock. Her most powerful attack … stopped as if it was nothing. She stayed silent, looking at the hand that was holding her fist, only to be sent back as the man shoved her arm hard enough nearly to dislocate her shoulder, and launch her across the ground.
“Hey!” yelled Ranma.
“If she wants a fight, I’ll give her one,” the figure said. “I will protect these kits, even from a tomboy with delusions of grandeur.”
The girls could only look on as Akane slowly got up, cradling her arm to her side, trying to figure out what had just happened.
“What killed there Mom?” asked Nabiki, trying to regain control of the conversation before either martial artist could try and attack him again.
“A Widow.”
The three pokégirls shivered at that word, as if Death would be summoned by it.
“So some spider bit her or something?” asked Ranma.
The figure chuckled lightly. “A spider as in a very poisonous spider-woman,” he said, as Nabiki quickly looked up the profile on the ‘borrowed’ computer.
WIDOW, the Run For Your Life If You See One Pokégirl Type: Tauric Inhuman (arachnid monster) Element: Bug/Poison/Ghost Frequency: Not Rare Enough Diet: carnivore Role: Boogieman and ultimate terror Libido: no one wants to know Strong Vs: any except Dragon Weak Vs: Dragon Attacks: Poison Sting, Paralyze Sting, Poison Bite, Web, Phase, Invis, Acid Spray, Slice, Armor Punch, Mutation Venom, Hyper Venom Enhancements: Enhanced Strength (x12), Enhanced Speed (x15), armored chitin, 360 degree vision, web spinners, poison sacs, multiple varieties of poison including transformative venom that has the potential to turn anyone affected by it into a Widow, hypnotic attack, ability to bite off and digest almost anything organic, extra arms Evolves: Dryder (special; ejecting all poisons from itself) Evolves From: Arachnae (extreme pain or Tamer's death) Bounty (for confirmed kill): 900,000,000 SLC Bounty (for reporting sighting & getting out alive): 40,000,000 SLC Recommendation if you see one: Run the fuck away, dumbass! Behold a nightmare made flesh. This is not exaggeration, this is not a mistaken comparison to the NightMare breed of Pokégirl, and this is the truth, plain and simple. Widows are the worst, the deadliest Pokégirl alive that's not a Legendary. They are destruction incarnate, the worst aspect of almost every sin made into spidery flesh. They are hateful creatures, and no one who has encountered them has anything good to say about them. The problem is, no one really knows WHY they appeared. There are several theories that have arisen from this. The most common one is that Sukebe created them. When his original home was destroyed and his first anamorphic creatures slain, he created Widows to gain his revenge, creating the more cute and cuddly breeds later on. Another theory, mainly put forward by Crimson League officials, state that the dreaded Pokégirl General, Athena, created them out of her rage against mankind. No one knows for certain, but everyone IS certain that they are among the most reviled of all Pokégirl breeds. Widows are truly monstrous to behold. From the waist up, they are humanoid in appearance, however their skin, dark black in color, is laced with a chitinous armor that can take immense damage from nearly every type of attack. They have blood red, compound eyes all around their head, the back ones sparsely hidden by wisps of hair, allowing the Widow full three-hundred and sixty degree vision. Their jaws can split open at the chin, revealing razor-sharp mandibles and fangs that drip constantly with saliva. They have four arms. Two end in normal, five-fingered hands, but the lower pair end in long, curved blades that glisten with poison. Their cunt, just at the base of their waist, is lined with spikes around the labia, which inject a paralytic venom into a victim, making it easier for the Widow to do as she pleases with them. From the waist down, they are spidery in appearance. A massive spider's abdomen serves as a Widow's lower body, supported by four thick, powerful, hairy spider legs. On the back of the spider-abdomen is a prominent red hourglass, standing out clearly against the black fur of the Widow. The spider-legs are long and strong, and a Widow can balance herself on the two back legs to shoot webs or streams of acidic Hyper Venom. All who have reported seeing a Widow and are still alive tell of the nightmares they had for days afterwards upon seeing such a horrible creature. Widows are horrible monsters of the worst sort, made all the more horrible by how they form. When an Arachnae, a perfectly innocent breed of Pokégirl, suffers extreme agony that turns into terrible rage, or suffers the pain of losing her Tamer, she morphs into this despair-bringer. (Addendum by Professor Stroak: The knowledge of a Widow's pre-evolutionary form must not, repeat, MUST NOT, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES be revealed to the public. The backlash against Arachnaes, who's only crime would be a connection to this horrible breed, would be terrible, and many innocents would die. At all costs must the secret of a Widow's pre-evolutionary form be protected.) Widows in combat are fierce, deadly fighters. Most attacks simply bounce off of their bodies, the only ones capable of affecting them being lightning and fire attacks, which serve little purpose but to accelerate the life-cycle of a Widow (see attached entry), and dragon-element attacks, which are the only things which can hurt them. Combat against a Widow is to be avoided at all costs if encountered alone. Seriously, just run away. No matter how good you are, how powerful your girls are, a Widow is stronger, faster, deadlier, and just plain meaner. Thankfully, no Threshold cases of turning into a Widow have been reported. Only two instances of a Widow being tamed are on record, and in both cases the Widows showed evidence of incomplete transformations resulting from being experimented on. Both have since evolved to Dryder. ============== Hyper Venom ============== A Widow's deadliest feature is its Hyper Venom. The worst kind of death in a tiny-little sting. Even the tiniest amount can result in horrifying mutilation, if not death. Hyper Venom consists of a mixture of toxic, highly corrosive acids, various cancer cells, and a mixture of heavily toxic poisons. This is a highly potent combination, and the only known cure is the Infinity Antidote used by Venom Mistresses and the powers of the Legendary Pokégirl, Sexebi. Infinity Antidote is inherently magical, and can heal even the acidic damage of Hyper Venom. However, Venom Mistresses are rare and encounters with Sexebi are even rarer, making this an unreliable cure. The best way so far to save someone if a Venom Mistress or Sexebi is not on hand is amputation of the poisoned part of the body before the poison can spread. An agonizing death is almost guaranteed upon being poisoned by Hyper Venom. So potent is this chemical mixture, that even Widows eventually are killed by the toxic poison inundating their bodies... ========================== The Life Cycle of a Widow ========================== The life of a Widow is short, agonizing, and violent. Here is a breakdown of the three phases of a Widow's life. Phase One ][ Transformation The first phase of a Widow, starting just after transformation, is the longest lasting one. The time it lasts varies, but at the most has been recorded at a month. In this phase, the Widow rampages around, destroying everything in its path, consuming Pokégirls it meets and generally causing havoc. It is at its most inhuman in this phase, its eyes glazed over with rage as it attacks everything in its way, stopping only to rest. Phase Two ][ Remembrance The second phase of a Widow's life, also the shortest phase, occurs after the time of rampaging in its first phase is over. They regain the intelligence they lost upon evolving, in rare cases getting their memories back as well. Widows are possessed with a tremendous urge to find a place to make a web and breed, and seek out a suitable place, building their web with studious ease. They will then seek out people to mate with, preferring human males, as they have the best chance of inducing pregnancy, and then kill and eat their mates, taking several days at a time to do it in. Once pregnant, they will go into a hibernation state in their lair, her eggs growing to birth level in mere months. If the Widow manages to control these instincts, they can also forcibly eject all of the poisons and toxins from their bodies, resulting in evolution... Phase Three ][ Life and Death The final phase of a Widow's life occurs after they lay their eggs, two months after they are impregnated. Once the eggs are born, they organize them in a safe place. By this point, a Widow's body has lost its ability to fight off its own poisons and will be wearing down. They will have a haggard appearance, and act almost Feral. They will die shortly before their eggs hatch into Widow kits. So far, no reported nest of Widow's eggs has been allowed to survive.
Even Akane was feeling a bit ill after hearing that.
Nabiki’s eyes just narrowed. Not only was said creature very dangerous, but apparently the dear professor had either listed very sensitive information in the device, or his grandson had stolen it. Either way, the value of the little machine had just gone up, making her wonder what other bits of classified information was on it.
“And you dealt with her?” asked the High Elf Cassandra.
“Yes,” said the figure. “I arrived too late to save their mother, but I did save them.”
“And how do you know us?” asked Nabiki.
“If you meet someone enough times, the names tend to stay the same, even if the personalities differ,” he said.
“You’re a traveler, like them,” said Cassandra.
“But he doesn’t smell human,” said Alice, causing Cyan to take another sniff as well.
“Yeah, he smells … almost like us,” she said, trying to puzzle it out.
“Let’s just say Ranma here isn’t the only one to have suffered under the Nekoken,” he said at a near whisper. “And depending on the possible cures, many things can happen.”
“So what, you became a pokéboy?” asked Nabiki.
“No, more like a mixture between man and cat,” he replied, noticing how Akane seemed to gain an angry glare at both him and Ranma at the suggestion he was some sexual animal as well.
“How do you know he’s a traveler?” asked Kasumi, turning to the elf.
“Simple,” said the woman, “a few hints, he knows of you but he never stated he knew you specifically. Given what we know of you, it isn’t hard to assume there might be more people from other dimensions. How else could he know who you really are?”
“Then can you get us home?” asked Nabiki.
“Sorry no,” he said. “My own method is … random, I could never be certain what world I am headed to, let alone track which one you came from. And even then, my method is something only I can do, something that can’t be duplicated, and something that carries only me.”
“Any hints then?” Nabiki asked. “Because I for one would rather not be blind here.”
“Head that way for about a kilometer,” he said, “and take a left down that path. You should come across a shelter for tamers who get stuck in the woods after sundown. You do not want to be camping out here at night; bug pokégirls can be very … carnivorous at times, and I doubt any of you want to be dinner tonight.”
“Then how’d they live here?” asked Ranma, pointing to the three demon girls peaking out from his robes.
The figure chuckled once again. “A powerful parent will always protect her young.”
“Anything else?” asked Nabiki, finding it was already starting to get darker, and she for one didn’t want to end up bug-chow on some sex-crazed planet.
Nodding, he reached into his robes. “A few things, and then I too must be on my way.
“One, take this, and don’t worry, it is a regular ball” he said, tossing her a pokéball, which she caught easily. “It contains the body of the Widow.”
“That thing’s a coffin!” yelled Ranma.
Nabiki’s eyes lit up. “This thing is a fucking ransom, Saotome; don’t you remember what this thing said about how much you get with a dead body?”
“And you’re just giving it to us?” asked Akane, full of suspicion, trying to ignore the pokégirls chatting about the types of things they could get now.
“You’ll need it to support yourselves, any girls you get, as well as these three,” he said.
“WHAT?” yelled Akane and Ranma.
“Oh my,” said Kasumi smiling. She always wanted catgirls to play with. And now she got to raise them. This was almost a dream come true.
“I can’t take them with me, remember,” said the figure, “and I can’t stay much longer. I’d rather they have a decent home rather than be left to fend for themselves.
“One problem,” said Nabiki, pointing to Ranma. “Well, two,” she finished, motioning to her sister.
“Hey!” yelled Akane. “How am I a problem?”
“We’ll get to that rather long issue later,” said the man. “And that leads us to two: curing the fear of the Nekoken can be done one of several ways with varying results. My way resulted in me becoming this,” he said, holding out a furred hand. “The way I’m going to suggest is that he have some very pleasurable experiences with cats of a familiar type to replace the fear.”
“YES!” cheered Alice and Cyan.
“No way!” yelled Akane.
Ranma just stared in shock.
“Third,” he said, pointing at Akane. “WAKE UP!” he yelled causing everyone to hop back a bit. “This isn’t some damned cuddly world where what you feel Tendo means a damned thing. People live, die, or go crazy simply because of sex. You don’t want him, fine. Quit fucking it up for him and everyone else because of it. These girls need taming or they go crazy and then they’ll take him themselves. These little ones need parents and that’s going to be hard if he’s frightened of them. What more, if someone attacks you with catgirls, what’s to stop them from chasing him off or worse, using it to kill or capture all of you?
“This isn’t Nerima or even your world anymore, quit assuming it follows the same guidelines.”
“And what makes you so smart?” yelled Akane, preparing to charge the man again.
“Because it didn’t help us at fucking all when it was me!” yelled the figure, as he pulled off his hood, revealing a pitch black fur, familiar blue eyes, and a very familiar pigtail.
Akane’s anger disappeared, as she spotted those eyes. “R-R-Ranma?” she asked.
“When we first arrived, you thought you’d set us all right, that you’d define our path,” said the Neko-Ranma. “You know what that got us? It got you killed because you charged into a fight and assumed it would be a cake-walk. It got Nabiki and Kasumi killed when a group called Team Trauma learned they were pure human females, and decided that they’d rather have such rare items to themselves. They fucking used a whole slew of cat-type girls to keep me away, and then to nearly kill me when I finally slipped into the Nekoken,” he growled.
Frantic meows caught his attention, as he looked down, spotting the three young Kittens looking up at him, worry on their faces and in their cries.
Letting out a deep breath, he knelt down, pulling them close. “I survived, I continued on, and you three were dead. You know what that was like? Do you think Jusendo comes even close to that?
“I’m not sure how or why, and I’m not about to tell you my story from that point, but I ended up on the path I’m on now.
“Was that your past? Was that another version of you? Will it happen here? Some of it will; pure human women are worth more to people than that Widow carcass I gave you. That fear of cats can’t stand, that fear of intimacy can’t stand, and a few of your attitudes can’t stand. If you don’t adapt to this world and grow, you will die.” Standing back up, he made his way over to Kasumi, before ushering the small Kittens over to her. “You all have very little idea what awaits you in this world, what troubles and joys you’ll come across, what hope and what hell await you. Hell, I’m not even sure if this world has analogs of you.
“But at least I’m giving you all a better chance than we had,” he said. “Who knows, maybe if I had been a bit tougher on my Akane, or she’d been a bit more … emotionally stable, maybe we’d all have had a better life, even if it was stuck on that world forever.
“Maybe one day … I’ll get to fix that,” he said with a happy sigh.
“Good luck on not turning into this,” Neko-Ranma said with a smile, though if he meant becoming a catboy or losing the Tendo Sisters, he left unsaid.
But then he directed a glare at Akane. “And you,” he said, before his face softened. “You need to stop being a pervert,” he said with a smile. “And don’t deny it; my Akane called me a pervert all the time and most of the time, I had no idea what the hell she was yelling about. She had to have been a pervert to imagine the things she did.”
Smirking at the shocked look on her face, he turned to the other sisters. “It was nice to see you all again in some form. Take care of them, I’ll leave it to you.”
“I thought you knew me,” said Nabiki with her usual smirk.
“More than you’ll ever know,” he replied with his own, as he walked back towards the woods. “You better get going if you’re going to make it to the shelter before nightfall and those girls can start on his cure of the Nekoken.
“And Saotome?”
“Yeah?” asked Ranma, more than slightly worried at how Alice and Cassandra were looking at her and licking their lips, like she was dinner or something they could just eat up.
“You aren’t even close to having the power I have, make sure you check your ego with the fact the girls need you. Don’t be the first casualty. Who knows, maybe some day … you’ll surpass me,” he said, as he vanished into the woods.
