Ranma spoke next. "So... you know this world, right? Maybe you know where we are?"
Kasumi looked around their arrival space. "Yes. And it could have been much, much worse. We're in friendly territory, at least. This is the Lion's Pride Inn, in Goldshire. It's a crossroads village in the human lands. Oh my, I've got to sit down."
The night elf sat a little unsteadily in one of the wooden chairs near a table.
"So this is a 'game'?" asked Shampoo, grabbing a chair herself. "And what's with these clothes?"
"Yes, and no," said Kasumi. "Oh. Oh, that explains it."
"Explains what?" asked Nabiki, looking around for valuables.
"I'm Kasumi, but I'm also Nagisa," said Kasumi, her voice sounding normal for the first part but shifting slightly with an odd accent for the second.
"WHAT?!" asked Akane, wondering if she could bring herself to hitting Kasumi in the head to free her from some possession.
"I am Kasumi Tendo," said Kasumi in her normal Kasumi voice. "I played a game called World Of Warcraft where one of my characters was a mid-level Night Elf Druid named Nagisa."
Kasumi closed her glowing eyes, and then reopened them again. When she spoke her voice was different and she also had an odd accent. "I am also Nagisa. I grew up in Shadowglen, one of several children orphaned during the encounters with the Burning Legion. I am skilled in Herbcraft and Alchemy - the harvesting of various plants and their preparation in the making of potions."
"But isn't 'Nagisa' just a character you came up with?" asked Nabiki.
"I'd say," said Nagisa/Kasumi in that soft accent still, "that she played a game that was a dreaming reflection of another reality. Because there was that connection between us, she and myself became one. It remains to be seen if her leaving will end this merger or if once merged - we stay together."
"Don't worry Kasumi, I'll find a way to fix you!" said Akane.
When Kasumi stood, she moved faster and more gracefully than was expected. Especially after having staggered into that chair. "I think there's a further complication from what mine elven ears are telling me."
"What?" asked Ranma.
