The sorcerer shrugged. "Actually, you're right. I could turn you and the other victims back given some time. But I want to use this to teach that bratty apprentice of mine some lessons. First - that not everything can go her way, and flinging magic around in an attempt to get her way is only going to make things worse; Second - how much harder it is to undo transformations than it is to do them; and Third - that if she breaks it, she had better damn well be able to fix it."
"Oh, my." Kasumi said, gently. "What if she can't fix it?"
The sorcerer frowned grimly. "If she can't, then I will. But not until after I lock away her magic and leave her to her victims to extract some... personal repayment. And maybe, if she's lucky, I'll restore her magic abilities in a few years..."
Nabiki was going to protest and say that she wanted back, NOW, dammit... but Genma cut her off. "All well and good and all," Genma said. "But how do catch her?" To him, this made sense, after all. Why would a teacher waste a good training opportunity, just because some people are inconvenienced?
