Ranma turned to find that girl with the dark skin and white hair was back, with a couple of friends who looked fairly similar.
"He isn't here of malicious intent," said a second of the dark women. "Perhaps he's not here to disrupt our sacred ritual?"
Ranma nodded his head rapidly at that. While his education had been poor elsewhere, he had had enough magic hit his life to know that a 'sacred ritual' was generally not a good thing to disrupt. It tended to put all sorts of people off on you.
"He bears curses, many of them, as well as the touch of something old and twisted," added the third of the three women. "Ah. You sought us out to be cured of your curses?"
Ranma's rapid head nod stopped. "You can cure curses?"
"Some of us can, this is the temple of Eilistraee and..." the priestess paused as the human youth began dancing around the room singing something about not being a girl?
"Maybe he should join in the ritual," mock-growled the first of the women, looking over the boy.
"Here we go again," said the second with a roll of her eyes. "What is it with you and human lovers anyway?"
"Don't knock it till you've tried it," responded the first. "They're all different anyway. Some are hot and passionate and forcefully aggressive. Some are thoughtful and kind and gentle. Others are hesitant and uncertain, but filled with great passion."
"Well, this one is kind of cute," admitted the second.
"Oh?!" The first one nearly fell over. Her friend was at last admitting some interest in the opposite sex? Damn well about time! They had powerful enemies after them all the time, better make your hay while the moon doth shine and all that!
"Hmmm," said the second, eyeing the boy and blushing - though this last was only obvious to people with infravision.
"Oh, I'm sorry, what are... HELLO!"
The visiting delegation of other elves and the adventuring party of the Silver Rose had just arrived.
"Translation sphere?" One of the adventurers looked to the orb held by the first of the drow.
"Cute tush," said one of the visiting elves. "He's not part of the ceremony is he?"
"No. Some human monk who got cursed if I'm reading his aura right," said the drow priestess. "Apparently he's here to get his curses cured. Some of them look pretty strong."
"You there, warrior," said the first of the drow to run across him. "I am Aloire, Warrior and Magus. The priestesses can attempt to remove your curses, but how will you pay for the service?"
Ranma stopped. He didn't have any money. Heck, the only reason he wasn't only wearing boxers was because it had been so chilly lately. "Uhm."
"Actually," said Aloire with a glance at one of the girls who was practically drooling at the boy's heat-signature, "I have a suggestion..."
