Deciding to have a bit of ‘fun’ with his new form he decided to become a costumed superhero. After all, if Superman could put Fruit of the Looms over his pants and fly around saving people, why couldn’t he make a costume and save people too.
Hence his new outfit, a skin-tight yellow bodysuit with green covering the arms and the outsides of his legs and body, a green face mask ala Batman without the ears, but with fang like green extensions covering his eye-stripes and then yellow eye-stripes on the mask over where his normal ones should be, as well as a green lightning bolt on his chest... He looked like a typical superhero really.
Except most superheroes didn’t have a tail.
Of course he could have called himself The Were-Cheetah or just The Cheetah, but he felt that was to... cliché.
Instead he was... The Blurr!
And in the span of three days, he had stopped eighteen bank robberies, twelve muggings, ten carjackings and saved one old woman from being run over by a truck.
How ever that was then. This is now, proving that superheroes, need supervillians to fight, or at least underlings of supervillians.
“Come on Alpha, we need to catch up with it!”
“I’m trying Beta, but I don’t see YOU doing any better!”
ZA-VAAROOM!
The new Were-Cheetah ran by at over 250 miles an hour.
ZA-VOOOM!
ZA-VOOOM!
Said Were-Cheetah was being chased by two high-tech Formula One style race cars, with dual lasers with adjustable power settings. These new Extended Formula One Chase Vehicles (Or XF1 Chasers) where designed to chase any vehicle down (Or high speed beings) and stop them, ranging from non-lethal to very lethal force. Each XF1 Chaser could, in theory, exceed 700 miles per hour. Although still prototypes, they were tested up to 450 miles per hour, and while the ride was shaky it was possible to hold that speed with little trouble. It had yet to be tested at high speeds, the designers believing the vehicles would be unable to stay intact from the stress. The idea for the two underlings (Currently Alpha and Beta) was to shoot the Were-Cheetah with those lasers in the XF1 Chasers, disable it and bring it to their boss.
“PSSHT!” Went a laser. Ranma leaned to the side moving out of the way.
“PSSHT!” Went a second laser. Ranma leaned to the other side and out of the way.
“Beta, boost speed to 300!”
“Rodger!”
The two underlings looked at their speedometers as the two expensive speeding chase machines chased their prey. Within seconds their speedometers went up to just over 300 miles an hour. The looked at their prey and...
He was no closer. In fact he seemed to have gained ground.
“How is he moving at those speeds? We’re doing 300 and he’s STILL outpacing us! Hell, he’s pulling off maneuvers that should be impossible at these speeds!”
“Beats me Beta. Go up to 400!”
“You sure? The XF1 Chasers might not take the wind resistance at those speeds!”
“Just DO IT!”
“Rodger!”
Once more the vehicles increased speed, with the XF1 Chasers shaking violently as both pilots struggled to maintain control. As they lined up for a shot the one called Blurr suddenly slowed down, requiring some time to come to a full stop. Both Alpha and Beta turned in their seats to look at the Were-Cheetah behind them.
“Hey, why’d he stop?”
VROOOM!
VROOOM!
“That might have something to do with the cliff we just drove off of.”
Quickly looking forwards both drivers got a good look at the fact they were over the ocean and that the Chasers were beginning to angle down towards the water.
“Eject!”
Both pilots pulled on a handle behind their heads, their cockpits opening up before boosters underneath them fired them into the sky. Moments later their vehicles slammed into the water, breaking into pieces and looking more like it hit steel rather than water.
(One Hour Later)
Both Pilots pulled themselves from the water onto a beach away from prying eyes.
“Beta, we’re screwed.”
“Some on, it’s not THAT bad! I mean we lived through it, right?”
“Yeah but your forgetting something.”
“What?”
