Roll didn't really think about this, as she saw the missile head for near where Ranma was hiding. Instead of thinking, she recognized that he could be hurt, and just moved to protect him. Her first thought was to keep him safe, and so that was what she went to do.
"Ranma!" she yelled, reaching out for him as she leapt over towards the human boy. Knowing that she wouldn't have enough time to drag him away, she settled for shoving him as best she could as soon as she touched him. He tumbled away, almost seeming to sail away from the point of impact, and she smiled as she recognized in those few moments that he was going to be spared.
However, she was not, and that was the Sentry's plan all along.
The missile hit nearby, and the shockwave blasted her backwards, at the same time that the debris from the hit sliced into her frame. Liquid sprayed as hoses were cut, and the shine of bare metal was reflected in the low light as she crashed to the ground. Certain that he saw some red in the fluids oozing from her wounds, his eyes went wide with horror... before anger took over and he growled low in his throat. His friend was hurt, and he was not happy with that fact, something that he demonstrated to the Sentry rather quickly.
Grabbing a pole bearing a light, he hefted it as soon as he got it balanced, and tossed the thing right at the bad guy who'd hurt his buddy. "YOU STUPID JERK!"
Emotional responses and a combative nature were only to be expected by the Sentry, as it had seen humans as a disruptive force of disunity. That the human would get involved was not totally unexpected, but it did have to admit that it was surprising that he'd actually get close to hitting it. As it was, he had merely managed to send the pole through the ceiling that it'd been resting on.
Of course, this proved to be more advantageous for Ranma when the ceiling collapsed due to the damage that the boy had done, sending the Sentry crashing down to the floor, with the ceiling falling on top of it, while:
