Ranma glanced over at Ryoga, who'd wandered in from who knew where. "You know Mihoshi?"
"I saw an episode of Tenchi Muyo," said Ryoga defensively. "I'm just puzzled as to why she's floating in midair and wearing a genie costume."
"Because I'm a genie, well, at least temporarily," said Mihoshi brightly.
"So you've gotten a genie and are trying to fix your curse without me, how dare you Ranma?!" exclaimed Ryoga.
"Nah," said Ranma.
"What do you mean 'no'?" asked Ryoga.
"I mean," said Ranma, a trace of sadness in his voice, "how many cures have we gone after? How many times has THAT gone wrong and gotten screwed up?"
"Uhm, this month? Or do you mean overall?" asked Ryoga, calming down a little.
"Exactly," said Ranma, feeling his point had been made.
"Ranma was just asking about high powered martial arts he could learn through a wish," said Mihoshi, going back to her holographic popup screens. "Let's see, where was I? Did I cover Venusian Karate?"
"Oh," said Ryoga. "Ranma! HOW DARE YOU LEARN NEW MARTIAL ARTS WITHOUT ME?!"
"Feh," said Ranma. "Just can't please some people."
"TransDimensional Aikido," continued Mihoshi. "Negima Style Ars Magica, Howling Wind Style Ninjitsu, Dark Evangeline School Of Kicking Major Ass, Koga Style Ninjitsu, Summoning Style, Wu Style Materia Assisted Ninjitsu, Sturm und Drang Style..."
"Am I or am I not your rival?" tried Ryoga. "If you have some super-Art, how am I supposed to spar with you?!"
"What, you think I don't get tired of 'Ranma prepare to die' all the damn time?" asked Ranma. "A break from that actually sounds kinda nice."
"...Richard Dragon School Of Kung Fu, Basic and Advanced Jedi Force Training," continued Mihoshi, "Caerula Sanguis style, Mumyo Jinpu, Kuruda Shadow Skills, Kuruda Ying, Kuruda Front/Open Skills, The Werecat Fist, Makai Supernatural Warrior Arts..."
"Well, if you didn't cause so many problems," complained Ryoga.
"Besides, if I included you and you started a fight with me, what would that do to the Tendo place? Heck, I can just see you unleashing some 'Dragonball' manuever and toasting Tokyo," said Ranma.
"...you're kidding me? 'Dragonball?' That's actually on the table?" asked Ryoga, eyes wide.
"...Mnoren Dimension Tunnelling, Cosmo Police Style Psychic Combat, Kryptonian Martial Art Style Horo-Kanu..."
"Yeah," said Ranma, "it was mentioned just before you showed up."
"...Cosmos Access Saint Style, Martian Karate, Dragonfist, K'un L'un Style Special Manuever: Iron Fist, Whatever Works Style Engineering..."
"Damn," said Ryoga, picturing himself starting an innocent fight with Ranma and turning Tokyo into a smouldering crater. "Okay, maybe I'd have to tone it down. Just a little. For other people's sake."
"Ya think?" asked Ranma, who was thinking it over and maybe just maybe thinking that maybe Ryoga had a point too. Not that he'd admit it.
