Several minuites later, Usagi was much more calm; The four new were still in hybrid form had been told how to change back to their fully human forms - with varying results, and Sailor Lioness-Moon was busily attempting to undo the change.
Makoto had managed to make the transformation without incident, while with Mina's reversion, instead of assumeing Human form, she had flashed into -something- that had glowed to brightly to look at for a moment, before shifting again into human form - but Rei had appearently gone entirely the wrong way, and was now a full grown adult tigress, paceing the floor - at first angrily, but then with rapidly growing feline amusement.
Ranma had retreated quickly after that. It was one thing to be a Hybrid Cat himself -that helped with the NekoKen a *lot* - but another to see a very large, very pissed tiger paceing about the dojo. He wasn't terrified, just uneasy. Or so he kept repeating to himself.
Usagi hadn't managed the change at all, and had set about trying to reverse the 'transformation' with slowly decreasing enthsiasm.
"Moon Healing Escallation."
Lioness-Usagi growled (a rather cute growl) as the invokation of the Moon Scepter's magic subsided to reveal..no change.
The fifth no change.
She didn't bother to glance Ami's way for confrimation of what she allready knew - that it hadn't even come close to working.
The Silver crystal had ignored her attempt to use it - before Rei had smacked it out of her hands. Appearently, the crystal thought that there was nothing wrong with this picture, are was refusing to do anything.
Privately, Usagi was more irritated than supprised - even after several fights, and more 'fatal' uses that she cared to readily count, the silver crystal was a little bit of a mystery to her, just as it had been to her mother. There was something..divine about it, that refused classification - and occasionally refused to cooperate.
Besides, it wasn't like this was..well, yes it was. Her parents were going to kill - well, no, she realized, they weren't. They didn't have any real silver.
Her parents were going to ground her for eternity. Wait. Her parents?
"Ne, Sheila-san, you said that these changes mean we have to have Were-people in our ancestors...?"
"Yep! Somewhere. Either a lot of them way far back, or someone a little closer."
"...." Usagi nodded firmly to herself. "Mamma and Poppa have some explaining to do." If she brought it up that way, she wasn less likely to be grounded for life.
"You mean - you can't change us back?" Makoto sounded a little panicky. "I mean..I don't know if I can controll the changes..my landlord won't sublet for people with pets, he'll throw me out! I'd love the power of that form, but it could wreck my life!" Dispite Makoto's words, she was allready thinking more in terms of 'How can I get by while keeping this' than 'how can I get rid of these changes'; The feeling of unrestrained freedom that the hybrid form brought with it was seductive.
"Actually, you allready have changed back, Makoto." Ami's voice was only slightly panicked - and under that slight panic was a hint of suspicion and simmering anger, as the young genius drew a possible conclusion concerning her own parentage that might just throw her father and mother's seperation into a whole new light.
"W-what? But -I can still shift, I mean -" Ami shook her head from beneath her visor. "This isn't something inflicted on you. It is like our Senshi powers - " A glance was thrown at Minako, who was fiddling busily with her Henshin pen -"It is a part of us, awakened, that will not go back to sleep. Um..Unless we die, and maybe not then."
"...Let's skip on that.." The Inner Senshi traded uneasy glances at the comment. Having been dead - they were not eager to repeat the experience when anything less than the fate of the world or the life of the princess was at stake.
"Well, I for one like it allready." Minako chirped cheerfully, and rejoined the halves of her pen before jumping up - fully clothed, unlike Usagi, who had made a rough bikini out of her uniform's remains. Mina's school uniform had reappeared when she assumed human form, a change which facinated Sheila.
"Better get used to it..um..we have some friends comeing along who can help out with the adjustments...maybe talk to your parents. Mr. Diggers is very good at being respectable." The souce of the calamity hid a nervous expresion behind one hand. If what she had overheard was at all true reguarding these girls's secreet identity, Mr Diggers had a hurculean task set before him - and cast the n+10th puzzled glance at the nearly hyperactive Human form of Venus who was skipping happily around the room.
"Minako-san? Um...How did you..your clothes, I mean. I understand you have magic for the glowing, but..?" Curiousity was more powerfull than restraint in the end, and Sheila simply couldn't help but ask.
Minako shrugged. "Oh, that's easy. Our clothes are kept in subspace while we're in Senshi form, so when we change back from that we come back dressed again. I just went from being Hybrid-senshi to Human, powered down -er, with a truckstop in something else along the way..Sorry for the lightshow - and picked up my clothes along the way."
No one bothered to correct her mallaproism, as even Ami was a little to shellshocked to care. "What was the something else, anyway? That was bright. And the energy and coposition readings my computer recorded are only human shaped, and bearly that." Mizuno Ami wasn't capable of being to shellshocked to be curious, however.
Minako shrugged. "I tried to transform to my origional shape. I just forgot to specifiy 'Human'. I mean, the wands allways do it for us, I don't think about it ever, so I'm not used to being directly in charge of transformations. I just went back to the very first form I've ever had - back before Queen Serenity recruited us, you remember? Well, maybe you still don't. But anyway, that's what happened. Then I realized it and went human - it's too cold on this planet to wear that form anyway."
"Er...Can we do that? Will we?" Minako tapped a finger against her lips in thought for a moment at the Question. The she shrugged, jumped over the Koi pond, and whirled around behind a slightly flustered Ami. "No clue. I didn't know I could!"
Ami (Rather, Sailor Mercury, still) sighed and rubbed her forhead. "Minako, could you please calm down? I need to take some readings on how the shapeshifting interacts with our Senshi transformations. There could be -"
