Rad sighed as he walked down the corridor. Why was he given wake up duty? Sure it was nice that the Autobots got a new member, it was even better considering her size, but it seemed as if she was lazier than Scavenger!
Of course it had been a shock to learn that the Autobots newest warrior was a human who could become a Transformer. He wasn't quite sure how that was supposed to work. Of course from what he could tell Redalert did understand how it worked either. All he knew was it had to do with the bracelets she wore.
Of course when ask to let Redalert look at the bracelets she revealed they couldn't come off. He was starting to suspect she might be like Sideways. After all it's not like the Autobots had ever heard of a human becoming a Transformer before.
Rad sighed as he reached the door, maybe he was over thinking things? Maybe Ranma was really on the Autobots side and he was suspecting her for no reason. Well even if that were true he probably should still keep an eye on her, just in case. And with that that in mind he opened the door.
The room itself was massive, one of the largest in the base. This was understandable considering Ranma’s size when she transformed. Not that he'd seen her in her robot form since she had arrived two nights ago.
And of course in the centre of the room was her jet, untransformed. And was that snoring he could hear coming from the cockpit? He couldn't believe anyone could still be asleep this late in the afternoon. And she hadn't been up at all today either.
“Hey! Hey Ranma! Wake up!” He called; there was no way he was going to climb up the jet to wake her up. Noway, no how. After a couple of minutes of calling the cockpit slid open as Ranma groggily climbed out.
Rad's eyes almost came free while he stared up at Ranma climbing down her jet clad in nothing save a pair of boxer shorts and a tank top.
Suddenly he wasn't quite so annoyed at having to come and wake Ranma up. I might even be a good idea to wake her up next time. After all he was sure Carlos would just complain and walk off before she woke up and Alexis would probably be rude to her.
Ranma almost found herself snorting as she looked at the kid, Red? It was something starting with an R anyway she was sure she'd remember it before he broke out of his stupor. He seemed as if he might be worse than Ryouga. At least he had too seen a bare pair before freezing.
Quickly getting dress she ran a list of names she could remember. The other Robots, Autobots were fairly easy to remember. But then she had started training with them. Annoying as it was she was at a disadvantage in using her Transformer form.
Still she was sure in a couple of day fighting as an Autobot would be natural for her. She just had to work out how to summon that sword. For some reason she knew it was important.
“Well let's god Rad. Don't want to keep the others waiting do we?” She called from by the door, breaking the kid out of his stupor. She did admit it was mildly amusing to see him blush in embarrassment.
As she walked into the control room Ranma could feel a slight tension coming from Redalert as he waited for everyone to arrive, it seems as if something serious has happened. She thought as she suppressed a yawn. Taking a spot next to a wall leaned on the wall as she relaxed as she brought her body to fully awake.
“So what is it?” Started Optimus as he walked into the room. He had been slightly busy with Scavenger and wasn't as quick as he normally would have been.
“One of Cybertron's moons was destroyed.”
The response was immediate. The children were shocked stupid, while the Autobots became sombre. “Do you know what happened to it?” Continued Optimus, his voice was calm and even.
“No sir. According to the latest report the moon just suddenly disappeared. Current theories are that the Decepticons have developed a new weapon and as such the Autobots on Cybertron have gone to ground.”
“Hmm, somehow I don't think the Decepticons have a weapon capable of destroying a moon.”
“Sir?”
“Think about it. If they had a weapon that strong then Megatron would have it here, with us being its first target. He wouldn't allow Cybertron's moon to be its target.”
“Then what would you like me to send to our forces back on Cybertron, sir?”
“Don't send anything at this point. They're going to be on the lookout for anything as it is and it's probably for the best that they keep themselves dug in.”
